Noob Here - Trying to Replace High Mount Brake Light Bulb.

Howdy,

I'm trying to replace the high mount brake light bulb on my '06 Legacy GT Sedan. I've got the assembly pulled back from the rear dash, but there are no screws, just a bunch of plastic protective housing that look like if I pull at one end to get to the bulb, it blocks me on the other end.

Getting frustrated and figured I'd resort to asking for some assistance before I accidentally break something.

sorry I have yet to change one on a that new of a legacy...but most are you get the housing out away from the glass and turn the bulb socket and remove the socket and bulb and change bulb. and change the bulb...I run on sometimes.
