Another game I'm fairly excited for, more tracks, more cars, and rollovers :D

Not actual gameplay, but just the general idea.

Already on pre-order
I also like the rewind feature, apparently taken from one of the Codemaster titles. It should mix things up and make driving more interesting.

I hope it can be turned off or unavailable in mutiplayer. This is highly credited as a racing sim. series. Since when can you rewind reality after you enter a corner in your $300 thousand dollar tuned supercar a bit too fast on your favorite road course an plow the retaining wall? After watching a few YouTube videos, I know a few people that would... Their cars are still totaled though :-?
The title I believe you are referring to is Full Auto. An arcade style racer with vehicle mounted weapons to try and take out your opponents as you race. A rewind feature fits a game of that style. I don't understand why they decided to bring it to Forza... :smt021
You say that, and Gran Turismo 5 is, reportedly, going to FINALLY have car damage. Welcome to the wacky world of racing "sims."
The traditional format, which GT made so popular, is stale. Forza gave us a more proper sim on the XBox/360, but PGR always had those additional things that made it more interesting, like Kudos, that made it more fun and challenging. The rewind feature, for sure, wouldn't be included in a multiplayer setup unless they had some sort of voting system. I think Grid or Dirt uses it, and that it's shown up in another title means that it's interesting enough to add as a feature/selling point.
I'll be getting it for sure.

Rewind is disabled in multiplayer, and the most recent game with rewind in GRID.

First post in months....
Forza 3 is going to be EPIC. I've been following very closely and have even caught some of the leaked then deleted info, but from what I've seen the DLC cars are going to be awesome (Ford Escort RS, and the older Escort MKII, along with other older touring cars and such).
If you haven't seen Fujimi Kaido has made a return alongside another brilliant map called "Amolfi Coast" which is stunningly beautiful. Car models are gorgeous.
No rain or night racing... yet... I'm hoping they can expand the title in a year or so to include this. The storefront, which is the expanded auction house online offering includes being able to buy paint jobs, parts of paint jobs, tunes, etc...
When SL-i does their first Forza 3 invitational, it should be alot easier to set up :smt023

It got lost in a job search, graduation hiccups and now having horrible horrible internet that xbox live won't recognize. That's how slow it is.
Been playing the demo though... It's pretty cool. Feels sort of dumbed down in terms of stepping the car out, but I'll still buy the game. :smt023

^^ booya
Except that we are all going to have to play the game pretty regularly for a few months to have enough game credits to build cars for the series. Unless we can find a $$ cheat in Forza3 :smt023

Yawn? Comparing #2 to #3 is just generalizing since all you have experienced is the demo. Besides the extremely well detailed tracks (environment), evolved driving physics, realistic upgrades/tuning, incredible paint/design interface and extreme detailed exterior/interior... then ya I guess its just like Forza 2.
You wouldn't say GT5 looks and feels like GT4 or would you?
Meh stupid rant.. I'v been waiting for Forza 3 since the day I picked up my copy of Forza 2.. This is an "EPIC" title and deserves all the awards it can get. There is even a clutch button :-D Very difficult to use but still cool.
....but PGR always had those additional things that made it more interesting, like Kudos, that made it more fun and challenging.
Forza 3 has a "drift point" system that can be enabled at any point on/offline . Completely useless unless your doing online drift events.
Check this out its a 30min inside look into forza 3.

I picked up my LCE this morning but only got to play it for about 25mins before I had to leave again for class. I did hotlap the Legacy around Silverstone. Pretty cool; feels like Forza. And now (or again) you can hear the turbo spool!

Driving physics are incredible. Now your car responds as if its the real thing. Power-over. Weight shifts.. etc.. You don't need to modify a subaru's 50/50 split to make the tail happy. So much better then #2 and the layout of your career is very well done.
300+ gamer points already this game is handing out achievements like its going out of style.

Got it a few days before you guys in the states. A++++++++++++ game! A mate and I have just been playing and tuning cars for Fujimi.
All they need now is to release a cheap 900 degree wheel unlike that Porsche thing they released.

FWD? Why not AWD class? And D class... how slow do you guys compete at.. 50 mph?

The SL-i invitational and pre-invitational test runs had a few D-class races. One of them involved a whole bunch of Forza 2 musclecars. I did NOT know how to drive a Chevelle and fishtailed my way to last place.
chuckthefuk
11-06-2009, 02:40 PM
AWD A-Class FTW! we can play S or R3 but thats a bit extreme for most
Perdue
11-08-2009, 07:49 AM
We've done D-Class in the past, mostly because it sets a pretty level playing field. A and S class allow a lot of tunable upgrades leaving you able to make up for crappy driving with tuning. Kinda takes the fun out of it considering Matt can both drive and tune. :smt002
I'm in the process of putting together a schedule. I'll post up a day, race, time schedule for the entire series once I get it together.
badbasser98
11-10-2009, 12:46 PM
By no means do I know what I'm doing when it comes to tuning the cars. I change things slowly so that it feels better for my driving style. I'm cool with all sport upgrades like the last invitational was going to be so no one can tune. As long as we can pick a car that drives decent without tuning, so we can race instead of an impromptu drift competition... :-?

Amazing games, time, handles great, the best bike. If you like racing games, must buy, if you hate racing games, have yet to buy if you hate racing games, rent it out. Multiplayer is fun, the single player mode is well constructed for the period of play.
