ok guys i'll start off with a little back story. so i went to go do my lower ball joints on my 2002 GT. both bold heads for the ball joints broke off. so instead of trying to get the bolts out i'm just gonna find some used knuckles off ebay or in a junk yard. so it looks like any knuckle will fit from a wrx or GC impreza. It seams like a lot of them still have the wheel bearing in them and i was wondering if my axle splines will fit in eithe rof those knuckles or if i'll have to get new wheel bearings?

The ABS rings are different. I think ours has them on the axles, and the other cars has them on the hub...or was it the other way around. Anyway, thats what ten80 told me anyway...

00-04 is in the shaft for abs. 00-04 legacies are the only ones with the bearing on a knuckle. it blows since our front bearings have to be pressed on and off. i just got all 4 bearing(2 front bearings with seals, and rear hubs) for 255 shipped.

the bolt holing the knuckle to the ball join is easy as hell to get out(just did mine last night). the ball joint is another story. spary with pb blaster or some type of break free, than hit the knuckle tell it comes off. its damn easy. once you figure it out. i screwed my ball joint up last night tyying to get it out without a pickle fork.

its much harder when your car has seen salt. Just becareful around that area as I know some people have cracked those little tabs where the bolt that tensions the balljoint socket from trying to pry the bj off.

i used a big flat head to split it apart to were i could get it off, but as ben said be careful. if you goin to get nw ones then get new front wheel bearings while your at it.
