Fixing JDM Projectors?

My JDM projectors are all scratched up and look like they're turning yellow. What can I do to fix them to make them look brand new and clear again?

I've been doing this through the years, and have ghettofied it as well as done it thoroughly, and this process has become very simple.

needed:
Generic 1500 grit sandpaper, Generic 2000 grit sandpaper [I once got lucky and got free 2400 and 6000 grits from work]
A jug of water, and a small bowl or bucket
Clothes [microfiber is good, but once i used just medical clothes [moms a nurse]
Aluminum/Metal Polish
Optional - Duplicolor Clear

I like to take my lights off to do this. Basically, wet the lights with your hands, then dip the 1500 in the waters and slowly work the entire surface. The pattern never really matters for me, I usually just start going lengthwise for small portions, then stretch out my stroke as more of the lens gets sanded.
Keep dipping the sandpaper liberally and don't be afraid to bring it back to the lens dripping wet. There should be white residue coming off, like milky water.

Once you're sure you hit every spot, come at it again with 2000. Finish that and dry off the light. Take another dry cloth, dip it into the polish and work it into the lens til it looks cloudy swirly, most polishes turn black when worked in right. I let it sit for like 5 minutes then i take another clean cloth and rub it out. Looks perfecto!

When i visited HeresMyMind, he said he polished them, then sprayed a Thin clear coat over to help them resist wearing quicker. I never did it, but it sounded legit to me, his lights looks primo.

the powery stuff in a green can and it gfot to a point that made me happy

(also strips wax off your car and other un-wanted things like tree sap)
