i dont see why it wouldnt work...its the same thing but instead of an electric motor pushing air in its the air from outside

Technically, sure. It WOULD work. But, you'd need to either be going very fast for it to do much of anything at all, or have an extremely large opening to force as much air in as you'd need. In return, the drag from the large opening would probably negate the small amount of boost you'd end up with.

my off the wall bet is that the suction of the motor would spin the compressor wheel faster then the air would ever spin the turbine wheel..unless of course your driving 300 MPH into the wind give or take.

The compressor wheel would "freewheel" in the wind which would effectively net you zero power. The reason a turbo works is because the exhaust gasses spin it to tens of thousands of RPMs, something that you cannot get purely using wind resistance.

if it gave me even a little more power then my cold air intake id be happy lol

it would do nothing, cost money, and look silly.

if your after more power for cheep, look into a small bottle of NOS, you CAN trick your car into richening up the AF mix by electrically playing with the temp sensors.

that would do something, cost money, and not look as silly.

might as well lay a turbo in your passenger seat..

nos is cheater HP, and fairly cheap. thats why people use it.

Just the movement of air through the intake will probably contribute to the bulk of the wheel spinning? You'll cause a bunch of turbulance in your intake, your car will be slower I'm guessing.

And heavier. If you want to make your car faster for cheap make it lighter.
