View Full Version : turbo oil lines help please!!!

im trying to do a turbo setup but cant figure out where to connect the oil feed and returns lines after the turbo? and the waterlines too, ive done many turbos before but never a subaru so if you can help please any info is good info.

There's an oil feed on the top of the block that you can tap into.
If you use a turbo oil pan there is a place for a return.

If you have coolant lines going to the throttle body you can tap into that for water lines.

were at on top of the block? do u have pics or can u describe it? ill just drill into my oil pan for return, for water can i tap into the top and bottem radiator lines and just T them off?

Passenger side, near the back of the block. Though it just occured to me that maybe only turbo shortblocks have this...

I've seen a few people get oil from the plug near the alternator / PS pump. For return, you can either tap the valve cover, or the better option would be to weld and fitting to the oil pan or get a turbo oil pan.

thank you im gona do the plug under the alternator, as for return i dont really want to drill into the oil pan how low can i go on the valve cover? wat if the plug is submersed under oil will it still flow? how much oil is in you valve cover at one time?

I can't speak for the valve cover drain, but I would imagine it would just have to be lower than the turbo. For the oil pan, you can always just get another one from a junkyard and drill/weld on a fitting. You definitely don't want to drill it when its on the car.
