4/2pot install problem

so i have bleed the car about 30 times. have vacuum bleed it 5 times. changed the booster and master cylinder. als have line bleed the master, abs pump and proportioning vavle. the car still will not hold pedal pressure.

did anyone have to change there master cylinder to the master to the wrx master or booster?


tonight be are goin to turn on the abs pump and bleed it to see.

I was able to swap my buddies 4pots from his GC8 on to my BD6 without any modification to lines/valves/cylinders. When I was test fitting before I bought mine.

Direct bolt on and a 10 mins of bleeding the brakes. Not sure about the rears.

You may have a leak on one of your soft or hard lines. Have you upgraded to SS lines>? or are you using stock rubber lines/>

stock rubber. have looked at all lines and no leaks.

Dude, like I said in the PM, its either your MC or your abs pump. There's a fuse you pull that will allow you to cycle the abs pump to get air out of it, then see if that fixes it. If not, your new Master cylinder may need to be bench bled first.

You have air in your brake system, you didn't have to get a new brake booster or master cylinder. I've gone through 4 different brake setups and never had a real problem like yours...

i have bleed the master. it does the same with both boosters, and master. when i turn the abs pump on tonight hopfully i get something out of it.

well it was the rear bleeders were on the bottom and not the top. so note all bleeders go up.

i did a brake job on my friends maxima few years back, and was trying to push in the rear caliper for about 2 hours until i realized they were screw in type. happends to all of us small little things that make you feel stupid, but satisfied after you figure it out. lol
