build a kit for it. would be the best way to go for boosting a 2.2 and if you can weld you can do it extremely cheaply.

your ej22 block, ej22t internals, ej25 dohc heads and intake, wrx turbo, wrx intercooler, s-afc, and a few other small things.. but thats a good start... most can be found for rather cheap used...

^ not worth it, you can make 165-200whp reliably on a stock 2.2 with a home brew turbo kit, not to mention a complete lack of engine management. i know a guy making almost 200whp with nothing more than a rising rate FPR.... for the last three years.....

and considering the cost of 2.2s i would just go pick up another just in case something did happen to your first one. 2.2s are the honda d16s of the subaru world, extremely expendable and dirty cheap! If i wasnt swapping to a 3.3 i would have just boosted my 2.2.

Find a turbo, find a Subaru intercooler, and start putting together the intake/exhaust pieces in between. Start thinking about what you're going to do for engine management.

Small turbo, less lag. WRX header/uppipe bolts right up.
