hey guys..
got some trans trouble on the SVX...
havent checked it out yet, but i got a call from my father, says it drives fine as long as hes on the gas, even maintaining speed, ad long as the foots on the gas just a littler all is well..
but remove your foot from the gas pedal and the trans "bounces in and out of gear" rapidly
im going to run this test

wondering if anyone has seen anything like this?
i keep thinking/hoping that it is a related sensor, such as TPS/VSS etc.
any thoughts or ideas on where to start looking?
EDIT: on SVX's there is a resistor that is related to the solenoid that control line pressure, if you unplug that resister the car shifts very hard, if you leave it plugged in the SVX has the typical very soft shifts, which ultimately damage the trans.(IS THERE SOMETHING SIMILER ON SECOND GEN LEGACIES?)
my father had unplugged this resister as he is fiddling with different OHM resisters to find the firmness he wants
this resister has been unplugged for several days without this "bouncing" problem
so i would think it was an unrelated issue, however he plugged the resister back in and, no bouncing.
i am going to begin by cleaning all TCU connectors etc.
thoughts? comments? flames?
