My legacy's power antenna is shot. It wont go up or down and it annoys me!
Just wondering if a power antenna from a legacy wagon would work in my legacy sedan?

When I bought my BD the antenna was toast from what looked like a carwash while it was up. I picked one up at a junkyard for like $20 and it has worked fine for 3 yrs. I have a feeling that the wagon one will not fit, but I can't remember why. I looked at that option when I was looking for one myself.

on another note... my antenna has recently started making noise when it goes down. It makes a "ratcheting" noise after it hits bottom like it is still trying to go down. Maybe the ice from last winter messed it up? Anyone else have this issue? Anybody fix it? It still works fine, it's just annoying and I bet it isn't great for it if it jumped teeth or something...

I have that same antenna in my BK. It's not an exact fit and you'll have to do some rigging to make it work. You'll have to cut the car harness to match the white wire to the red wire on the new antenna and the green stripe wire on the car to the green wire on the new antenna.

The antenna is huge and it's higher than the roof of my wagon. Makes my car look like a remote control car. But it works and goes up and down automatically with the radio.
