Hello, I'm new here.

My car is part GTB...

it's a classic VW Bug with an EJ20R engine.

The chassis and body have just been finished restoring by myself, did a lot of mods for it to handle the power of the new engine like lots of chassis reinforcement, full roll cage, changed suspension and fitted big Porsche brakes.

Here's some pics.

The stock Subaru sump would come way to low in a Bug so I replaced it with a shortened one

I came in here expecting this thread to be moved

that pretty nice I've heard about the vanwagons but never seen a bug with that.. speaking of that this toyota rent a car place has like 25 VW bugs out on the side which would look really nice if they would restore them.

That body is nice

is the intercooler getting air from the outside of the car? It's hard to tell in the two shots.

Thanks for the kind words.

The IC gets air from outside the car via the 2 air ducts in the rear 1/4 pannels, those are modeled after the ones on a Porshe 996 Turbo.

Wow, that is awesome, definately the most appealing and satisfying bug I have evr seen! Couple questions though... five speeds of reverse and one forward? Just kidding but wondering what trans you are using, a Porsche trans of some sort?

It's got a Rancho Pro Street IRS 4 speed Bug gearbox atm. with welded gears, stronger casing and a diff. but I have just bought a 5 speed Porsche G50 "shortnose" gearbox from an '88 3.2 Carrera 911 but that will take a lot of modifications to put that in the chassis.
