The bearing on my power steering pump is blown and it spills allot of fluid.

Does anyone know if a pump from a 2.0 will fit and work on a 2.5?

Mods: please move the thread if its in the wrong place.

I will be trying the opposite, putting my stock pump on an ej20g in my BD, looks like I can make it work and I will let you know how it goes.

Im just asking, i contacted the NBF, a group of junkyards that salvage parts and they only have from the 2.0
And i hate the sound it makes and how it feels.

I installed the original 2.5 pump on my ej20 today, the rear pump bracket is different so had to switch, the 2.5 pump has extra threaded holes that the 2.0 bracket bolted right in. Going jdm 2.0 pump on a 2.5 you would have to make a custom bracket I believe. Reminder this 2.0 is from jdmland so I'm almost 100% usdm wrx is different. Also had to switch out the pressure fitting that goes into the pump, easy as take both out and switch and thread in. But like I said usdm should be different due to where the lines go into the pump. See if the junk yard will show you the pump if it is on the shelf or go out and take a look. The newer pumps have the pressure line at the top, the older were on the passenger side of the pump. What year is your leg anyways?

And for a bit of humor while I was researching, an 02-05 imprezza power steering pump, :smt017

It's my 01 Legacy 2.5GX, the junkers is a online cooperation between several junkyards. The one that had the 2.0 pump is hundreds of miles away.
i don't know if USDM is different from EDM.

But both pumps should be EDM.
