I would like to start off by saying that I like the site and like what you have done with the place. It has that Jerry Springer homely feel to it.

As some of you might know, I was gone for a bit. Some may have missed me, some may have dissed me. but thats okay. I'm just a normal guy, just like you. I don't have a fancy job, or a fancy car. I do have a very large penis but thats besides the point. For those of you who are just getting to know me I will give you the story since the rebirth of SLi.

When I first joined I had a 1991 black BJ that I bought on ebay for $100.00 that I flew up to PA to get and drive back home. Shortly after returning from my trip I purchased a 1993 Whinestone BC in AL off ebay that needed a new tranny. I had the BC transported to FL at which time I found out the tranny was toast. I drop $700.00 for the new tranny and I am using her as my daily driver. Time goes by and I grow to HATE the car! Sure I had (2) 12's and a 1,400watt RMS amp in there and it hit like you wouldn't belive. But the car drove like a brick. If I wanted to drive a brick I would buy a volvo. (I am thinking about buying a local 940 turbo wagon for $200) So I sell the car and I buy a 90 something For explorer. I hated that so I sold it to buy a 94 Volkswagen Golf. That thing was a complete POS so I sold that for $400 and a year worth of free pizza anytime I want. Since then I bought a 1987 Toyota Celica off ebay for $200 that I paid for but still haven't picked up yet. Today I just bought a 1990 silver BJ for $500.00 with only 140K on it and it is owned by an older gentleman that rarely ever drives it. I won't have the Bj in my possesion until the 24th of Dec because the guy is going to have it detailed for me and he still needs it just a tad bit longer.

I missed all you guys...even you Shane..even though I told you how to fix your light a million times and you never listened. I missed you Phi11...you should have called me back BOI!!!! Mark...I still talk to you everyday.

I am in a phase of my life where I am going to start buying alot of Subarus. Some legacy and some not. In the near future you will notice me blowing up on ebay and in the parts department. I want to be the guy you come for when you need any part for your car. I want to save you money!

I suffer from severe migraines that land me in the hosptial at least once a month. The last one landed me in the hospital for an entire week. Since I started having these migraines I have gone thru some changes. I find it harder to spell comon words, I can't remember hardly anything, normal every day life has become a chore. Hopefully with the help of my doctors and neurologists I will beat this thing. If you are wearing perfume of cologne please stay the h e l l away from me.

I have no problems with effin, fck, whatever don't spell it out. As far as Jeremy feels about it who knows. Next time I talk to him I will see how he feels about this issue. I'm waiting to hear from him about other issues related to this incident too. No naked pictures :( and no swearing, you have to draw the line somewhere.

Yeah, but we can't say anything goes, then when someone does something like spells out the f-word, ban them. If anything goes, anything goes. Put a filter on it, then if they dodge the filter, ban them. 2DL is childish at times, but I don't see where this is right.

And if I recall correctly, I argued about the nude pictures thing. Then someone said it was allowed as long as there is a NWS/NSFW notice in the subject line. Then it came to, "only if it's linked and has a NWS/NSFW warning." Maybe we need to actually write up a set of rules for everyone to be able to see, and make sure everyone knows when any changes have been made. I'm sorry, but without a set of concrete rules, I don't see where banning anyone is right. That more like banning whomever you feel like, depending on your mood.

I'm coming a little late into this but here's my 2 cents.

People (like me) will visit this site at work. Most people (like me) have no clue what NWS/NSFW means. Clicking on a post and having a nude image while at work could get someone (like me) fired.

That would royally suck. This is a car related forum, let's keep it that way. I'm all for a nice picture of a lass but there's plenty of other forums if you want to see someone in her birthday suit. I would prefer the idea of this remaining a "work friendly" forum. The line may be drawn perhaps at girls in bikinis or skimpy outfits, even those pictures can be taboo at the office place. Its a known fact that a lot of places have ZERO tolerance to viewing pornography and I'd hate to see someone lose their job while surfing here. That in itself could result in a lawsuit being brought against this forum and all the hassle that comes with it.

As for swearing , we're all grownups here. Does anyone really need to fully spell out the F word ? I don't have an issue with people writing "crap" and "f'ing" if they're upset about something but its not pleasant to see it continuously typed in full. Quite frankly there are a lot of other car forums where this language is the norm and I don't really care to hang out with those kind of people. Its like being in a room full of 12 year olds.

There certainly needs to be clearly written rules that can be applied equally and fairly. This way people will know what is and is not acceptable.

I think we should take out the "Anything goes" part of Anything & Everything so people can stop arguing that they can do whatever the hell they please.

I think the reason Shane had a problem with the f-bomb was that 2DL intentionally tryed to bypass the filter to swear...whatever...it was the last straw, basically...

I agree with keeping the nude pics off the site, and the language semi-clean. For a different reason than some, though. I can't surf from work, and driving a van all day, I doubt anyone would want me to. However, I do recally a Jeep fan website getting sued/shut down by DC because of nude pics on the site. Granted, I think that site had Jeep in the URL, but this one has Subaru and Legacy all over it, and I could see Subaru suing the site owner if they found a site with their corporate names fillled with porn/nude pics. Companies gotta protect their image, and most don't want to be associated with porn in any way.

This argument does nothing to help 2DL and anyone else that feels the need to post nude pics or needs to swear. ZERO tolerance is in affect by Jeremy and just was enforced. I will personally ban anyone who crosses the line. Jeremy will be the one to decide when (if) you come back. It's very simple, please don't argue about this issue when you know he was in the wrong. Like GT wagon said, people view this forum at work. Who needs nude pics and trash language?? If so go to another forum and use it. I swear a lot in my everyday life but can refrain from saying it here? Why can't he? why is it hard for you to understand?


Maybe we need to actually write up a set of rules for everyone to be able to see

From the finger tips of Jeremy:

#1 Keep language under control period. I do not mind simple 4 letter words like damn, ass ect... but you post up anything else or more harsh and you will be notified, possibly banned for 3 days. If you continue to ignore this rule then your ip will be banned forever.

#2 Keep flaming to a minimum. Yes this is a discussion forum and there are going to be arguments, disagreements etc. That is no biggie, just life. But you start calling someone names, sending threats etc.. you will be banned.

#3 Stay an active member! Yes this is a rule! We love having more people around to chat with, hang out etc...

#4 If anyone deviates from these rules to a point that I need to be notified, please take it upon YOURSELF to notify me or one of the admin via PM! Do not assume someone else will do it for you! We will review the situation and take action of needed.

Keep this club a friendly, family or just cool to hang out at forum. To many large forums are ruined because members cannot control there attitudes or language!

Do I need to slap all the bad boys on the hand and say NO! BAD!??

I also like keeping the threads clean, and professional. I know my favorite forum of all time was yotatech.com (check them out, and see what I mean). It was well maintained, and people kept it positive and professional.
