Hi,
used all around forester KYB struts plus a 3 cm aluminium spacer on the rear struts, used legacy springs and tophats. My leg is a fwd.
See pics of the lift hier:

that's awesome. now if you would have used forester springs would it have given you more hight? and do you know how much you gained? ride hight wise?

I didn“t measure before the lift, but acording to the FSM it says:
front wheel arch hight: 385 mm (15.16 inch)
rear wheel arch hight: 379 mm (14.92 inch)
after the lift the new measurements are:
front wheel arch hight: 410 mm (16.14 inch)
rear wheel arch hight: 403 mm (15.86 inch)
recapitulating:
front high gain: 25 mm (0.98 inch)
rear high gain: 24 mm (0.94 inch)
Forester springs are longer as legacys, it would give somo more hight, but you would have less downtravel as with my current setup, this is not so good for me, because in bad roads i would have one tyre rising in the air.

Hier is a comparision pick:
left: forester springs, midle: legacy springs, right: impreza springs.

Pic autor: I dont remember were i got the pic, i hope it is okay to use it hier
Forester are quite a bit longer, weight of your bd way under a forester, you will gain a lot of hight, but your car will not compress the forester springs as much as a legacy wagon, so you will end with less downtravel for the struts thus gaining more lift. Also if you go with forester springs you are going to preload them quite a bit on the struts.
Show me pics when you end the lift.

As a thought you could also look into Outback springs and struts. I have seen those on a BF and it had a nice lift. Though I am not sure if you would get the same effect on a BD/BG/BK.

okay i have read that i just could not remember what BF was. but now i know, and knowing is half the battle thanks. and like i said i really want to do this so of you know if any one with forester struts and springs please PM me and let me know.
Well nobody is expecting you to be a Legacy expert, people have made an effort to make the information here easy to find - in SLi 101. So use it! I don't remember everything there either but I definitely look a lot of things up here on SLi all the time - it's easier and faster to get to than asking questions in threads...
