OK I've had a problem for a little while now, when the key is in the start position, there is a strange ticking noise coming from the ignition system, the fuel pump primes over and over and the fans cut on and off, it's been going on for a couple months now, flashing CEL and everything. however i just last week swapped in a JDM ej25d motor. new plugs wires coil, gutted cats. when i pull the "e/g ign srs airbag" fuse it all goes away, cant start the car but it goes away, so I'm wondering if anyone, anyone knows what I'm talking about, and or knows the solution. any and all help would be appreciated.

That sounds like what happens when you leave those 2 green diagnostic connectors under the dash connected. It puts the ECU in diagnostic mode and does exactly what you described.

Did you check to see if they are plugged in? They shouldn't be. Sorry if I misread your post.
