Sorry for the newbie question. i have a silver 03 BE lowered about 1.5 in the front and 1.3 in the rear (or so advertised). i have heard concerns about rubbing and non rubbing with the 225. im thinking of getting the 225-45-17 matched with a Rota Tarmac II Gunmetal but i noticed that my fronts have settled more than the rear. i have about less than a finger between the top of my stock wheel and the fender. im pretty sure the rears won't rub because it's about 2 or 3 fingers distance between the top of the tire and the fender and also the BE's have larger rear room than the wagons. Im concerned about the fronts. Will my fronts rub?
here is a couple of pictures...

I bet they will rub in the front on turns and hard corners. I have 215/45/17's on my car.. and on very hard turns.. they rub. I'm not dropped as low as you either. Of course.. my car is a BD.

i run 235/45/17 on my BE. the only time i rubbed was in very hard cornering. i mean hard, 40mph over suggested speed. 225/45/17 will be fine.

you're fine. dial in more negative camber in the front if you're paranoid. Though subaru's love some negative camber in the front anyway.

thank you all i will definitely go with that set up!
is there any problems of it hitting the fender when going through bumps?

thank you! for sure i will go with this set up.

on a brighter note, can somebody photo shop the rota tarmac II Gunmetal with a Silver BE lowered? that would pretty much seal the deal.

look up my car in the Rides I section, there's one of them with a set or tarmac I's on it, though in silver...among other styles of wheels. There's a photoshop request thread in the general forum.

I have a 02 BE with 225 45 17 and lowered 1.5 front 1.3 rear and I got pretty bad rub when I would go over a bump in the freeway or a pot hole in the road or anything that would compress the front springs. Like going up a driveway or down a driveway. I rented a fender roller and it solved my problem.

depends on the offset (and alignment). 225s on a +53 fit no problem. On a +45 they rub a bit.
