After having my old GX coversion written off, it was time to get something a little more practical. I have had the car for a little while now but only now starting to get the car sorted to a point where I'm happy to post it up.

Had a spun big end be bearing when I purchased it. The end result was my making a purchase on the vehicle at a fair bargain price.

There has been some issues with the car, most notably the time it has taken to get back on the road and trouble free, and there were also some issues with gertting up the driveway. But it's getting there and with an angled approach I have all of 2cm clearance getting up the drive... and here are some pics:

Mods so far are :
Lowered on kings and KYB's
TD05 18G
Converterd to Manual and Single Turbo
3" TBE
MY01 17"s in silver with Pirelli P-Zero Rossi's
Alpine H/U and 6.5 R splits in the back doors, and Unknown 6" splits in the front.
4 pots
Bosch Coil conversion
Apexi PowerFC
Walbro 255L fuel pump
3.5" Stanless muffler tip
GAB Rear strut brace
K&N Pod filter
Silicon intake from AFM to Turbo

Pipeline includes:
Monsoons if I can find some!
Re-Tinted windows.
Would also like to get a FMIC, but not sure on this one yet.
Bigger injectors

THE PIC's:

Firstly, the pic's from the add and some other early pics.

Just before throwing in some new struts and springs:
https://sl-i.net/FORUM/images/imported/2009/09/100_3182-1.jpg

It sat higher in the front than the back by about 2cm with the stock struts (gaurd was 67cm off ground at front and 65cm at rear)

Now with the new KYB excell G and Kings its basically dead level. The different wheels front to back give a bit of Optical illusion.

Been a while since I have been on here.... So...Some new updates:

Projector headlamps fitted

Before:

Then blacked out.

After:

https://sl-i.net/FORUM/images/imported/2010/04/100_3608-1.jpg

I have also fitted some JDM Billsteins, yet to take a pic with these in, raised the car up a bit which has helped my clearance around the guard lips. Much nicer ride too. firm but not harsh. Much better than the King/KYB combo.

a new item purchased just the other day, G Squareness;

Will need to get this fitted and a Genuine rear wagon wing and maybe get the car resprayed at the same time. Bit more red pearl in the original colour.

New head unit to go in soon as well.

Also have in the shed ready for a future build a 2.2 OD block, will hopefully source a 2.5 crank (=2.35L) and some V3/V4 sti heads. Its a long term plan!

Really like how your car is coming together. Makes me wanna put my front bumper lip on NOW, but I was gonna paint mine to match the body color. You think about doing that when you get the whole car repainted?

The rear wing would look awesome!!

Thanks for the comments guys  , I have been putting quite some time into getting this car as I like.

I'll get the windows re-tinted soon too so they don't have the Japanese "copper tint" and do the front door glass as well.

Front bar is an Japanese aftermarket part. I bought it though an Importing company here in Australia called Import Monster. It was listed as a G-Square front bar for Gen2 Series1.

I haven't fitted the bar yet, need to get it colour matched first and will get some other paint work done on the car at the same time. Same with the rear spoiler. I have found a matching G-Square rear bar skirt, but not sure that I want it as I will not be able to fit the factory mud spats with the extra skirt. It's a tuff call :-?

I will defiantly keep updating this with new pics when I get new parts added.

Cheers
Nigel
