Hi,
there`s a problem with my GT-B:
Idle is very low, and then it`s falling down to about 150-200rpm, raising to 700rpm and falling down again. If the rpm is falling down fast, the engine will stop. But if I let them down slow, the idle catches and it`s running up and down like I said.

I checked the vaccum lines, and tryed to tune the idle control valve, but the problem is already there. Now I think it`s the throttle position sensor, that have to be tuned. Does someone know how to do that?

That could be the TPS; I beleive it produces a signal between 0-5V. Try measuring it with the engine off and ignition on.

The Idle air control valve could also be due for a cleaning.

Hi,
do you have a manual how to tune the tps? I think it should have a special idle signal!?

I don't have a manual with me at school, but you can just open and close the throttle by hand and measure the output voltage win the ignition on. It should go up and down as you open and close the throttle. Try cleaning your idle air valve first though.

Tried to measure the tps voltage today, but it was a fail... :-?

One cable is ground, but I didn`t get any voltage on the other two... :smt017 Ignition was on. Tried a few positions of the throttle body...

Ok, TPS is fine and correctly adjusted...

If I could get that *biep* IASC gasket anywhere here in germany, I would pull it out and clean it...

Any other suggestions?

You can always try http://www.subarugenuineparts.com

I'm fairly certain that they ship internationally. The part is small and cheap anyway.
