185/70R14 or 185/75R14, which profile to pick 4 snow tires?

Going to pick up some Subaru steel wheels today, 14x5. 1) Just want to doublecheck that these will clear the stock brakes on an 04 BH, and 2) what profile ration would you choose to mount up to match the stock wheels (205/55R16 snowflakes)? According to the miata.net calculator (http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html), 70 would make my speedo read 2.7% slow and and 75 would read .2% too slow. I would think closer to stock would be better, but I'm worried the additional profile will exacerbate the reports of "squishy, wobbly @ highway speeds" handling of the Firestone Winterforces I plan on putting on there. Worth it to spend the extra money on General Altimax Arctic's or Dunlop Graspic DS-3's? Thoughts, opinions?

i highly doubt 14s will fit over BH stock brakes 15 maybe why do you want to go that low in diameter again?

14" steels will not fit over the larger BH brakes... 14" tires are stupid cheap though.

Yup, $28 difference between stock sizes and 14" for the winterforce, and I'm on a college student + ski racing budget. That sucks, I guess I'll keep an eye out for some 15's or 16's.
