Do 1998 forester S's come standard with heated seats/mirrors and a LSD? and they have 4 wheel disc brakes, are they like the 2 pot front, 1 pot's rear like an LGT? Also whats the tire size?

I'm going to go look at one tomorrow $3500 and 130k idk what I would do if i got it I'm not getting rid of my leggy unless its for another BD GT or a 05-07 LGT or a wrx.

It doesn't help much I found the tire size and It says it has 4 wheel disks but thats it. It says the S model adds the "All Weather Package" over the L model but lists the Cold Weather Package as an option on the S? And it doesn't say anything about a VLSD so I'm guessing it doesn't have one?

The brakes are just standard 2pots.

And, AFAIK the Forester didn't come with a VLSD until MY00.

ok so if I really wanted one I could just get a 02-what ever rear diff and slap it in there?

Make sure it's the same final drive ratio.

1st gen foresters that i have seen are "L" model have front disk, read drum, but when you get to the "S" model you get disks front and rear

Yeah i was just wondering if there were the same brakes that are on a LGT

So i test drove it a couple days ago it looked in pretty good shape all around i liked how the windshield wipers worked flawlessly but the tranny shook like crap, you could make a martini for 007 by just putting it on the shifter. I asked about the engine and they said it was rebuilt piston, rings, timing belt and all 500-1000 miles ago and still had a 8 month warranty so I'm thinking the trannys about to blow or something it rattled too but the shifter went through the gates fine and it went in to gear fine so idk.

Also the seats were sick and had super side support I wish they put sportier seats in the legacys...
