i just wanted to know if there would be any problems with not having it on?
thanks!

only if like on my BK the Exhaust dumps directly onto the rear axle, specifically the CV joint. It would melt the boot.

other than that, and maybe a check engine light because of reduced backpressure, no real downside

ok its not near the boot and no check engine light so i guess im good!

Make sure you get some fresh air circulating if you're stuck in traffic, I imagine the fumes would build up alot easier with it off.

There's no sensor in the exhaust past the rear O2 so you wouldn't get a CEL, just a lot of stupid stares from people because you're too loud.

And please... it's not "backpressure". It's exhaust gas velocity.

Again it is not that loud. I have gotten a bunch of compliments about it

yeah so I had mine off for a while, it actually rotted and fell off on the freeway at 70...... that was a fun time.
anyway it really wasnt that loud nothing like i would have expected. I did however get alot of backfires, cruising at at 30 - 35 . However I frequently drive to Syracuse and it got annoying quick. I now have a Thrush "Turbo" muffler on it. Not what I wanted to do however the whole new axle back + the muffler cost about 35$ so im pretty happy.

its very quite until you really step on the gas. then it sounds throaty!

i need to get pics!

Nice, someone else gets this. I've stopped trying to explain it. :smt011

Funny, I took my muffler off once to get an idea of what the exhaust note sounded like. It sounded like shit, very loud and made almost like a sputtering sound. Droned like crazy too.

Yeah, when mine was broke just after the #2 cat, it sounded like a Harley was trying to beat it's way through the floor!

U want LOUD, run open headers(don't ask)

I drove around my block once when I first swapped my axle back with the SPT. It sounded NICE without the axle back.

You can always just get a pipe welded so it looks like you at least have an exhaust

or you can bosozuko the exhaust

but instead of two pipes just have one unless you like two pipes

Please don't hate on my Bosozuko love :smt023
