Just bought a '05 Legacy GT and wondering about best all season tires for this car. Heard the stock ones are crappy. Thanks for any advice.

Need more information on what you are looking for. "Best" varies based on usage.

Are you looking for a tire that will last a long time?
Something that performs well in the snow?
Something quiet?
Something with lots of dry grip?

Lots of different things that can be important to an all-season tire shopper, and no tire does them all well, you have to indicate your priorities.

Bridgestone RE960

Falken 912 is also pretty good and less expensive.

Thanks for the replies, I definitely want tires that will last and have a decent grip in the snow, any all seasons that would fit the bill? I used Falken 912 for a Honda Accord. After a year of reasonable driving approx. 30k, my tread was 75~80% gone. Bad experience with Falken tires.

Best high performance all seasons i have used.. in both snow, and dry, and wet conditions.. hands down: Sumitomo HTR+. And where i live.. we get SNOW. These do great in the snow, rain, and dry conditions when being driven hard. Check em out man.. they are cheap.. and wear slow as well. Everytime someone asks about all seasons.. i tell them about these.. i loved them THAT much. I'm gonna get myself another set here soon for winter!
