12-22-2005, 01:55 PM
87 Cavalier

12-25-2005, 11:57 PM
Here you go. 87 toyota pickup (also known as a hilux in other parts of the world):

Man, I wish I could find another Deutschland shield like the one on the back window. On the right you can barely see the "D" sticker like the one I currently have on my legacy.

12-26-2005, 11:43 AM
'96 s-10 (green!!!ext cab. it's kind of funny,
I put a black bumper on it w/ fogs!)

rebuit the motor, then traded it in for the GT.

so, I guess I have a thing for green cars w/black bumpers!
(the tail gate was all reflective GREEN!!!!!!!!! like a street sign!)

12-26-2005, 01:31 PM
well, you guys know Jenna, so here she is..still own her though

and this is Annabelle...99 Cavalier RS..last time i heard, she got boosted and then wrecked

and before them i had a 89 Subaru Loyale :) my first car

12-26-2005, 03:35 PM
no pics.

78 bmw 320i- had a bunch of suspension goodies from the PO, a bmw mech, but it was my first car and i didn't fully appreciate how good it was. Had to rebuild the engine prior to driving it. Wrecked it while playing.

82 dodge 1500 conversion van- super fun if it was a 2nd car. With 3sp manual and a 130hp v6, it got 20mpg and 0-60 in.... 26 seconds. No joke. Sold.

88 mitsu starion- another car i had to completely rebuild before driving, it was quite fast but the shot suspension made it kind of scary. I ran out of money, so i traded it for a BBK and some money.

A couple little toyota pickups (22r vintage)- fun little trucks that handled pretty well. Totally gutless. All sold and then stripped/heavily modified
by buyers.

12-27-2005, 02:32 PM
Is that a European Escort? I envy you. As for my previous (and current additional) cars...
My first, a 1992 Saab 900S 5MT (Sold):

My third, a 1992 Ford Taurus SHO 5MT (Still own, daily drive):
My fourth, a 1990 Mazda Miata (Still own, STS2 autocross car):
And my fifth, the 1995 Legacy L AWD Wagon:

12-27-2005, 09:04 PM
No pics but since '97 I've had:
1995 Jeep Cherokee Country
1998 Jeep Wrangler Sahara
2000 Jeep Cherokee Classic
2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo

Yes, all 4 of my previous cars had the same engine in them.

12-27-2005, 10:36 PM

This is my first one :D

12-28-2005, 03:15 PM
Before this I had a 1989 Toyota Corolla 4WD. That thing was a beast, and had a locking center diff.

01-03-2006, 01:02 PM
Bump. I think this is an awesome idea for a post. Let's see some more replies!

01-10-2006, 11:08 PM

02-20-2006, 10:57 PM
Well, I've gone through a few over the years:
'84 Chevy Cavalier

'78 Mercury Monarch w/ 351w swap (my first "mock" street rod)

'95 Ford Escort LX (my first real modified car & in dash A/V system)
*sadly it was totalled out by my insurance company for a hit & run

'87 Nissan Hardbody pickup (currently own & Under Construction!)

'01 Ford Focus ZX3 (heavily modified inside & out!!) Sold It...
*slammed on Ground Control coil-over suspension
*slammed with airbag suspension

'87 Toyota pickup (currently own, but selling it)

'81 Kawasaki KZ550 LTD (currently own)

02-21-2006, 01:35 AM
i remember the escort from the stereo shoppe days and the focus i saw the other day when i was driving around

02-21-2006, 06:27 AM
I had an '87 Fiero GT, 5spd, V6, wheels, lowered, short shifter, vette interior

02-21-2006, 07:28 AM
That Fiero looks sweet!!!

02-21-2006, 03:42 PM
That Fiero looks sweet!!!

You made an ugly car look good. I never seen a Feiro look so good. Makes me want one now. How did it drive and handle? was it fast? What engine was in it?

02-21-2006, 03:52 PM
It was pretty fast, didn't have a whole lot of performance mods though (spintech exhaust, headers, ram-air from side scoop). It had a 2.8L V6, and yes it handled amazingly. I actually got that car for free. The day before my senior year of high school I was rear-ended in my Integra. The damage didn't look very bad but it was upwards of $4,000 to fix. So I fixed it in my buddies garage one night for free and bought the Fiero with the insurance money! 8)

02-21-2006, 09:44 PM
You made an ugly car look good. I never seen a Feiro look so good. Makes me want one now. How did it drive and handle? was it fast? What engine was in it?

agreed, that thing looks great :)

02-21-2006, 10:46 PM
sweet, I found a picture of our old corolla 4wd!

I helped my dad paint everythig below the pinstriping. Matches really well for being red! I wish I still had that car for a winter beater, but it was so rusted out it was just too much work.

06-06-2006, 09:05 AM
I don't have pics but...

$400 '76 Buick Skylark -V8 power :) - V8 gas mileage :(

Mazda 323 - took a beating and just kept running. Ran on 3 cylinders for over a year until I finally got another car.

VW Golf - P.O.S.!!!!

'95 Honda Civic - reliable car.

'01 Dodge Stratus ES - don't know what I was thinking, ok car but kept her for only a year and a half.

'01 Focus ZX3 - Fun car, modded her to 160hp. Then the curse of Ford took over and had lots of issues.

Now I have the LGT.

For project cars I got a '86 Jetta GLI that turned out to have a ton of rot.
Then I bought a '86 Merkur XR4TI, which I'm working on now.

06-06-2006, 12:42 PM
Then I bought a '86 Merkur XR4TI, which I'm working on now.

PICS!!!!!!!!!! My dad had a merkur XR, I believe it was an 87. It was white, had a cosworth grill, double spoiler in the back (not a whale tail, but the stock XR double spoiler), it had some american racing mesh wheels (BBS replicas that American Racing was sued over, and hence took off the market). I have no idea what mods he had under the hood, but he sold it, along with my brother's black XR which they never got running right (the previous owner blew out the turbo the day they were going to buy it, but my dad had an extra motor, so they thought it was ok). Anyway, my dad saw some smoke coming out the back of the white one one day, got scared, sold both cars for $3k, the new owners dyno'ed the white merkur of my dad's and it had 272lb.ft of torque and 250horse power at the wheels. The thing was a rocket. I'll see if he has any pictures of it he can load to the computer. I have always wanted a merkur like my dads, such an unknown turbo gem (even if they are a nickel and dimer most of the time), and horrible in rain/snow.

Oh, and since my truck pics above don't work, here you go:
http://img36.imageshack.us/img36/3006/IMG_0122.th.jpg (http://img36.imageshack.us/my.php?image=IMG_0122.jpg)http://img528.imageshack.us/img528/9803/truck10im.th.jpg (http://img528.imageshack.us/my.php?image=truck10im.jpg)http://img174.imageshack.us/img174/8213/truck29lv.th.jpg (http://img174.imageshack.us/my.php?image=truck29lv.jpg)

Then I bought a '86 Merkur XR4TI, which I'm working on now.

I haven't taken too many pics as she's under going a transformation now.
Currently I've dropped the crappy auto tranny and I'm installing a WC T-5 :)

06-08-2006, 09:09 AM
1977 Corvette

06-19-2006, 12:24 PM
My first car was an '83 Subaru GL 4WD wagon, which you can see on my cardomain site:
210,000 miles, 1.8 liter, tiny carburetor, 3 speed auto with lots of slippage. Manual everything, no power steering, no power brakes, no ABS. It was slow, underpowered, and heavy....buuut it could move through any weather, and cornering was fun with no power steering and the Rwd engaged.

And then I got the '95 Legacy LSi, and I'll keep her forever!

06-19-2006, 03:30 PM
umm well i've had a ton of cars for my age, in chronological order:

1979 Corolla with 5MT and a 3tc race motor
1977 K5 Blazer, 454, 4 speed, no floorboards, lifted with open headers
Twin 1965 Mustang Fastbacks
a 1993 Mercury Sable
1994 Nissan SE-R w/ SR20DET conversion
1997 Jeep Wrangler

and i currently own:

a pair of 1950 Desotos
a 1998 Dodge Ram sport truck
and the 1999 Legacy Outback, my baby!

i may be able to find pics upon request

Currently fixing it up (gasket replacement) for my parents to drive.

02-02-2007, 11:51 PM
My last vehicle before my Outback was a 94 Bravada and here is what it looked like after the wife had a go with some black ice and a ditch clickey here (http://home.mchsi.com/~dirtriding/)
There were plenty more cars and trucks before, though none as nice as most that are posted in this thread.

06-12-2007, 06:16 PM
'86 Olds Cutlass Supreme - suuupreeeme leather interior
'94 Sentra dd - no pics

'90 Toyota Pickup - dropped on Weld Draglights.
Work truck until a chick in her civic lost control and went
across the freeway in front of me. 70 mph impact with no reaction time = life flashin before your eyes.
Seatbelt and being relaxed saved me.
I think i have a before hand pic somewhere.
It was too clean. I love pre Taco years.

'85 rx7 GSL - stock accept springs and some Riken meshies

'75 REPU (Rotary Engine PickUp) - Sold to an eager fan in Japan. Apparently all the remaining
REPUs are rusted out over there.
I was too tall for this mini anyway.
Stock with some plush velvet interior done by previous owner.
He was a conservative 'Nam VET too! Go figure...

'88 rx7 TurboII - Haltech E6K, Racing Beat exhaust,
Tokico Blues, Racing Beat springs, Old School SSR MKII.
I had this for a year until it got stolen on a rainy day.
It had 270 of ROTARY rwd power!
It was decent on gas too with the Haltech tuning.
I miss the rotary flames :(. This will be my next fun car.

and now....i finally got a WAGON. im in love <3

I got my first car a couple of months after I turned Sixteen in 2002. I had been obsessing over these Peugeots since 2000 when I went and traveled around Europe for a month. Peugeot+Toby= Peugoby (if your wondering about my weird screen name.)

1989 Peugeot 405 Mi16. It had about 105K miles when I sold it. It was in prestine condition. 1.9l 16v 150hp approx. 2750lbs.

http://img48.imageshack.us/img48/5443/my4052ug6.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

http://img159.imageshack.us/img159/2315/4053id3.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

My next car I purchased was a 1987 VW Cabriolet. It had some nice touches. Lowered on an H&R cup kit, euro bumpers, front duck bill spoiler, full techtonics exhaust, w/ hi flow cat and euro exhaust manifold. It moved pretty well for an 1.8 8v. For a while it rode on a nice set of BBS RM's.

http://img502.imageshack.us/img502/9716/cabfrontsideog6.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

I also owned this atrocious 1984 Renault Le Car for a few months. It was going to be my project car, but then I realized I didn't want to deal w/ so much rust. Sorry about the ultra crappy cell phone pic. A few other cars I've driven for a while along the way are a 1977 Lancia Beta HPE, a 1989 Audi 100 Quattro, a '91 V8 Quattro, and another '90 V8 Quattro. If you cant tell my Dad and I are big type 44 fans!

I had the slowest truck on the planet. A 96 Ford Ranger with a 2.3L automatic and 15 inch Jeep wheels of a Wrangler. They actually said Jeep on them and everyone gave me crap because of it. It could do a whole lot of nothing in snowy conditions with only 2-wheel drive.

07-12-2009, 05:51 PM
Where to begin...

My first car was a black 1995 Ford Explorer XLT 4x4 Auto. My parents gave it to me with 137k miles on it. I drove it until 176k and probably invested $3,000 just to keep it running.

My second car was a Gray 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 4x4 Auto. I took out a massive loan for it and ended up rolling it 4 months later in the snow.

My third car was a Black 2001 Honda Civic EX coupe 5MT. I loved the thing. Got rear ended the day after I bought it. Then again 2 months after getting fixed. And last week it was totaled. I hit a deer at night in a long patch of fog.

My fourth car is my 1997 Subaru Legacy 2.5GT 4EAT :(. It was meant to be my $1000 winter car but now I need it as a summer car as well.

I originally was supposed to take over my mother's old 1991 Mazda Protege DX. Although it ended up sitting unused for too long and rotted it. I took it all apart and learned a lot in the process. I ended up selling the car for scrap, only made enough to buy a pizza.

A few months before getting my license I convinced my parents to buy me a 1996 Ford Escort, which was based off the Protege. I did a bunch of work to it almost including a custom bodykit. Traveling to college at the start of my second year the engine blew halfway there stranding me. I was forced to sell the car to a mechanic. I really liked this car, was practical and fun and looked cool.

A few months before the 1996 blew up I bought a 2000 Ford ZX2 S/R which is my project car.

My mother replaced her 1998 Legacy Outback with a 2008 Impreza and I ended up with the Outback, which is an awesome daily driver.

Well, my leggy is my second, so here's my first:

1991 Integra LS

Did a fair share of wrenching on her, from suspension to the auto to 5 spd conversion. The only thing i didn't have the tools/know how to deal with was putting this thing in:

I was going for a daily driven/track/auto-x direction...

...but then i got married, and now with a kid on the way, it sits in the garage until the day comes when I start parting it out so i can buy goodies for the leggy. It was an awesome, fun, nimble little car, but I never realized the limitations of the platform until i drove my leggy for the first time. Eye opening...

Before my current stable which includes a 1996 Legacy and a Forester (that's gonna be for sale once I replace the clutch),

I had my 1st subaru, a 1998 Impreza:

I think someday when I'm done with all my projects and have some time/money, I'll get a beat 93-95 impreza coupe or wagon and do some sort of swap. Fun little cars, but unlike the Impreza, I never get pulled over in either of my driveable Subarus.

B's Legacy Wagon

Wow! there's some slick cars in this thread! that's for sure..

Here's my WRX STi Ver that I'm in love with! #88/100 Mar 94

I don't have any good pics of my 1994 WRX, but it's silver too! :) So - here's the auction pic from Japan:

Before those two silver wagons, I had this 1999 Impreza Brighton Wagon (yes! All 135 HP!)

And I think you see where this is going!

I really enjoyed seeing all your nice cars before the Leggys - I'll have some pics of my BD5 later, I just got it this weekend and we got snow here, so no exiting pics yet of the Leggy. And guess what color it is! :) Silver.. Again!

Well my BH GT-B I currently drive is the second twin turbo after my last ride which was an FD Rx7, GT-Concept.

06-15-2010, 11:17 PM
No pics, and no cars as sweet as the TT Supra or the TT FD RX-7, but it's a long list:

1984 Ford Escort
1984 Honda Civic
1991 Honda Civic
1997 Dodge Neon
1989 Volvo 745ti (740 Turbo Wagon, with a stick!)

2002 Volvo XC70 (wife's car, Turbo 2.4 5-cylinder)
2000 Legacy GT

So, I came to the realization that this car has the largest (by displacement) engine that I've ever used as my car. I had a 1993 Pontiac Bonneville with the 3.8, but that was only out of necessity, and I don't claim it as mine. :)

06-16-2010, 08:13 AM
I have aways wanted a 88 or 89 SPG. Still on my dream car list

06-16-2010, 05:26 PM
The first one,

Then the Toyota aristo swap...

Sold that back to the guy, had to many problems...then got the legacy. and have been happy ever since. I do miss owning a soarer though. Once i finish the sti or wrx swap to the wagon im going to get another soarer as a fun car and use the wagon as a daily

02-15-2011, 04:36 PM
this is my list of cars i have had over the few years. in order
1998 Mercedes Benz ml320 white. if your wondering what happens to her i drive it off a cliff just to many problems. i was driving on a closed road going a little to fast and they started to level the road out and i drive of a cliff they didn't get to yet and landed it but then hit a man hole that was sticking out about 1 1/2 feet out of the ground and flipped her front ways and landed the other way i was going on the driver side.

next was a 2001 chevy astro work van. had good times with that van than a project
1981 vw rabbit diesel five speed also white. she got taken by the cops for not haveing any license plates or tags or anything. the only thing in her was my driving seat and the motor.

now i have my 2002 subaru outback 2.5 and love it

02-16-2011, 03:16 AM
Only one car for me and I never got out on the streets with it. A vw bug with a 62 body, 66 motor, and 68 electrical/pan. All the driving I did was around my grandmas house, mostly in first with some second. Got it for I think 150 or 200 running, drivable, stopable, and dropped two inches. Was multi colored and had 53 sprayed on the doors, that color scheme didn't last long before my dad and I sprayed it flat black which took like twelve cans. Currently I have plans of swapping a ej22 with mild mods in, new seats and interior, baha body kit, lift kit, and a light bar on the roof with hellas. My old plan was go lower with a mild build of the stock motor, I don't know what I was thinking then but that was when I was 14.

My first car was a silver 93 Nissan Sentra XE. No options but I loved it.
To this day I still love the shape of it. It got t-boned (I was pushed about 6-8 feet sideways) and I am thankful for the car's B pillar.
No pics of that.

My second car. A 92 Civic LX. Had power windows and power locks.
Mods included a
Mugen Replica spoiler
Roof spoiler
Clear Turns
eBay Strut bar
Aftermarket 13" Rims. LOL

Blew a headgasket. Sold to my brother.
It was an OK car. Had no power. It had one thing I wish my legacy had. Struts for the trunk lid.

Thats it. Im on my 3rd car. My Legacy. Love it. It improved on the Civic with
-More power
-4 disc brake

b4 my current outback was a leg GT, b4 that was a leg wagon, b4 that was an outback- outback- outback- legacy- legacy- outback- it keeps going in that manner. I have owned other cars but I am so poor now I can't afford any other car but a subaru as I never have to be car-less due to the EXTREME reliability of subaru. when I can afford to fix cars I will get another fun ride, maybe another honda as they are just about as much fun as a car can get in my opinion.

Had to let it go because it wasn't practical for a family car, specially for a toddler
Funny thing is the guy i sold it to (somewhere by sacramento) had it for sale a year later after he bought it from me, posted it back for sale and claimed he built it from the ground up! The only thing he did was messed up the quarter panel. Everyone from my area knew built it though. That bastard :smt018 :smt075

Now I want to get another 240 since my lil girl is bigger now and don't need a rear facing seats

03-02-2012, 11:59 PM
I'm starting to slowly look for more Silvia front end parts or even import a JDM one. Not sure yet. Just something about those cars... they have some of the most timeless lines and endless tuning in all aspects and you wont go broke.

Finding a clean stock one is rreally hard these days though... I sold my last 93 S13 coupe for $3400 and it was 100% stock with hubcaps.

03-03-2012, 10:33 AM
Full list:

First car 1991 Plymoth Acclaim - Totaled

Then 1994 Ford Ranger Single cab 2x4 - Sold after countless problems

Then 1991 Toyota Corolla - Totaled after wrecked engine

Then 1992 Mercedes 190E 2.6L - Someone ran a redlight and ripped the front bumper off which totalled it. That caused me to ride the motorcycle to and from work exclusively for about 2 weeks while waiting for insurance payoff which leads me to my next entry.

Then 2004 Honda Interceptor 80O VTEC - Totalled and almost killed... I ran a red light 1/4 mile away from my house on my way to work 20 miles away. 50mph into the side of a 2007 Ford Explorer (Also totaled). Seperated pelvis, broken orbital socket, demolished left wrist and a fair amount of rash is what that got me.

After 6 months off my feet and almost a year of recovery/follow up surgeries, I bought the legacy.

Then last May I convinced my now Fiance to shitcan the 2004 Chevy Aveo hatchback in favor of a 2004 WRX wagon.

Now I am on the lookout for my next car... 04+ FXT limited or an 05+ LGT limited wagon.

03-03-2012, 10:44 AM

Going backwards, I have been driving a 1997 Plymouth Neon, autotragic, SOHC. reliable? no, good driver? very.
Prior to that, I had a 1984 Dodge D100 Ram. I traded it for my Legacy, after it had been sitting for a year and a half.
before that, I had a 1988 Ford Thunderbird 5.0 sport that never reached roadworthiness.
Then there was the '87 Camaro 5.0. Computerized carburetor that never worked, leaky T tops. I bought it because when I was 6, I told the people who owned it that I would, and they laughed at me. proved 'em wrong.
Never roadworthy.
And my first car was a '79 Mustang 3.3l I6. terrible motor, solid body. I sold it berfore I even got my license, b ut I think I know where it is, here in town... I might try and buy it if they ever sell it.
No pics of that one.

87 Toyota Cressida

Before that I haaaad...a 93 mercury tracer with a 1G DSM turbo and a 75 shot for laughs

Before that, a 91 Civic RT4WD Wagon, turbo dohc ZC and 6spd. One of my all time favorites. If I would have found another one of these, rt4wd and 6spd manual without a metric ton of rust, I probably wouldn't be here today. I'm glad I got my OB instead...but maaaaan I have a hardon for these ugly civic wagons.

Before the rt4wd wagon, the turbo dohc zc was in this 91 sedan. You can see a couple of the supras behind it.

And the last supra, 87T hardtop. Built A340e trans, built 7MGTE, 550cc injectors, walbro, aeromotive afpr, MAFT pro, 60-1 ct26 turbo, 3" DP into a blitz nur spec, spearco FMIC, trans cooler, oil cooler, koni yellows + H&R springs, MKIV TT wheels, all sorts of shit.

I usually had 3+ supras at any given time, though...

I have some random previous cars. My first car was my moms hand-me-down car. I actually ended up loving that car it was a 1999 VW New Beetle. It was one of those cars that actually became a part of you and had its own personality. I am still trying to find that car relationship...(I sound hella crazy don't I?). I ended up selling the car because at the time I felt the need to have an "adult" car. So I got a 2004 Nissan Sentra SE-R SpecV. I liked that car but didn't love it. I had a blast driving the hell out of it tho. I am still trying to sell the car. If anyone is interested in the Sentra just PM me I am taking all offers. My dad then said I could have his 1994 Chevy Suburban 1500, which I had been begging for ownership since I was 15. He bought the truck new in 1994, I love it and will be doing a full resto/mod project with her when I have a house and garage space. Now I just want to sell the Sentra so I can finally drive the Legacy.

1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT

1992 Mitsubishi 3000GT

1992 Mitsubishi 3000GT SL

1998 Mitsubishi Montero Sport

My 1997 Mazda Protege LX

Bought at 114k miles, sold at 197k miles. All I had to do was timing belt, water pump, clutch, and some gaskets. Drove the P!@# out of that car and it never let me down. ~$40/year to register and about $30/month for insurance plus ~40 MPG. Sold it because I thought a Subaru would be a sound investment. Unreliable PoS Subaru makes me want my Mazda back! Seriously though, if you're the person that bought my car, I'll give you twice what I sold it to you for to have it back!

No pictures of my first car, but for the rest I do.

'90 Cavalier Z24. Black 5spd manual. Probably the most reliable car I've owned so far. I miss it. It met a deer at 80Km/h on a gravel road, neither car nor deer survived :(

'90 Nissan 240SX.
Before motor Silvia conversion

'83 Supra - Despite the badge in the front bumper, it was not a turbo. I sold it shortly after I bought it. Not a project I wanted to conquer.

'90 Cavalier Z24 - Yes, another one. This one was an electrical nightmare which I immediately pawned off.

'89 Nissan 240SX - Yep, two of these as well. In fact, I still owned the '90 when I bought this one.

'86 Datsun 720 - Wicked fun beater truck. Hitting any kind of bump and the chair would launch me into the roof lol
Sorry, I don't know how to camera.

'08 WRX Hatch

'98 Lancer Evo V - This car was fast even though it was stock, but I had repeated troubles with it soon after I bought it and decided to sell it.

'88 RX-7 - long term project car (unless I sell it). Plan to put a built VQ35DE motor in. Because racecar.

'97 GMC Sonoma - my current workhorse

2000 Impreza 2.5 that car was my baby. Second car, second owner, i put my heart and soul into that car. I still miss it, but I plan to put just as much, if not more effort into my Legacy!

1985 Toyota Celica gt.

Dads '67 vette in the background.

1985 Toyota x cab 4x4, 22RE. Bought in 2007, still have it.

1978 Toyota cressida

Had 2 paseos, one totaled and one sold.

1957 Lincoln premiere 4 door hard top. Dads '58 vette next to me.
