Noise in 1st and 2nd gear?

The other day I noticed a metal to metal noise coming from either the back seat or behind the driver seat only when I am in 1st and 2nd gear. The noise goes away in 3rd. I have already went underneath the car and check for heat shield rattle and rocks tucked in areas that would make this noise. So annoying, I can't figure where it is coming from! Clinging metaltic noise. Anyone have any noise like this? Help me out

take it off and see what happens, i've taken if off both my cars and had to take it off a second time on this car after getting exhaust work :smt021

So you think that will its the heat shield? Ok, well I better get a catback set up to eliminate the noise. I'm to lazy to cut off the heat shield. Thanks for the information man.

You shouldn't have to cut it off. It should be simply bolted on. Take a look and see what size the bolts/screws are and just take it off.
