RallyCross Leggy in Minnesota

Hi everybody.

I'm new here and thought I would introduce my Leggy. I have a '93 SS that is my rallycross toy. We have a great group of RallyCrossers here and we have a lot of fun throwing dirt. I'm running with DMS 40 struts, sparco evo seat (passenger gets tube frame until I can afford another), 5 pt harnesses, stripped interior with partial cage and drilled frozen front rotors, upgraded pads with stainless lines.

The engine is stock for now but I have some stuff to install this winter, including boost control, TD04 factory air water intercooling system and a wideband to keep an eye on things. I've got a lot done and have a lot more to go. My avatar shows me in my car at our Sept. RallyCross event.

I'm hoping to be volunteering at Lake Superior rally, so if you see me stop by and say "Hi" or come on out to the next RallyCross and get dirty.

Hello Amy! Looks like all the rallying is fun with your 1st gen (the best leggys for rally), any events farther west towards Moorhead? Been a while since anything has been over in this part of the state.

I know of a number of people that wish there were some events up by Fargo/Moorhead. If someone can find a good location for a rallycross we could likely sanctioned by Land O Lakes region of SCCA. I live near Brainerd so I would come. Have to find enough entries to make expenses though.

There is always Ojibwe Forest Rally in Bemidji at the end of August for spectating.

I forgot to mention my car also has a 3" turbo back with a high flow cat and an ex Prodrive skid plate.

There is Buffalo River Race Park, they have a speedway, motcross and go kart tracks in Glyndon about 15 miles east of us, they also had a snocross but I didn't make it but they has been people trying to get that going, apparently years ago they had some small rally events out there. Also there are a ton of imprezzas and wrx owners that worry more about having fun than their paint :grin: , I'm sure quite a few would like a sanctioned event. We actually have been tearing up some grass behind a local subie performance shop having fun :smt023 Anyways glad to see some people from our area on this foum, are you on Mnsubaru?

I am on MNSubaru with the same screen name and get to the metro now and then for events. There is a suby part swap and bacon cook off/fund raiser for a local rally team next Saturday, with a rallycross on Sunday. We have a pretty lively rivalry of MnSubaru members for our rallycross events, with me and another guy who has a 91 Legacy being pretty close in times.

I can ask about sanctioning a rallycross up there if we can find enough people and a venue.
