The turbos can be upgraded to run TD04 CHRAs.
The combination of turbine wheel and turbine A/R that is selected, will depend on:
1.Upgrading the primary turbo only.
2.Upgrading both turbos.
3.Manual or Auto transmission

If your car has the VF33 (A/R 11) primary and VF32 (A/R 18) secondary.
Using those existing turbine housings drop in TD04-15G CHRAs which is very basic.
For optimal upgrade the secondary turbine housing needs to be changed to a VF14 (A/R 16) to improve spool up during transition. Then a different set of wheel combinations can be used on the primary turbo.

The VF33/32 combo was only on late '01~'02 models. The '98~mid'01 models had two VF31s.
[EDIT: in light of recent information (i.e. - me not paying close attention), I will say that '98-'99 had two VF27's, '00 had two VF31s, and the late '01-'02 had the VF33/32 combo]

Combination of primary VF31 and secondary VF32.
The VF31 still has the same turbine A/R .41 or P11 as the VF33.

Just so there is no confusion, 98-mid 01 got VF26 and VF27 for manuals and VF25 and VF27 for autos. :)
The VF31/VF32 were on the E-tune I believe and VF32/VF33 were on the 01+.
