How much power can be gained from a EJ25 with just a Piggyback or a Stand alone and a tune and like a full exhaust?

Expect a 5 WHP gain at most with an SAFC I or II. Even with a full stand-alone EMS.

The biggest difference is that your fuel curves will be at healthy incline with no hick ups or bogs. Basically you will have a very smooth fuel curve which will give a smooth feeling of acceleration and response.

SAFC is a nice way to display a digital reading for RPMs. Other then that on a N/A car its not really worth the money, but to each their own.

yeah i guess why the tunes work so good on a turbo car is because they almost always up the boost

it just seems like anytime anyones asking about getting a CAI or cams or anything besides an exhaust someone says to get a tune

SAFC help to dial in the A/F ratio and run richer to compensate for the increase volume of air.

When you install different degree cams you change change the duration that the valves will be opened or timing and such blah blah blah. SAFC can retard/advance your timing as well as learn/rich the fuel systems.\

I notice quite a nice increase after a self tune with a PP6 piggyback. After 4000 rpm there was a noticeable power increase. Noticeable is different for some people than it is for others, so take my story with a grain of sale. That being said, I tuned fuel; not timing, and that's where real power is made. I'd say with a piggyback you can make another 15 HP over stock off 91 or 93 octane.

I know about E-management, PP6 and a few others but what are some options for stand alone?
Are they a lot more money?
And what comes with the AVO turbo kit is it a piggyback, stand alone, or just a one setting preprogramed thing?

Stand alone systems are all incredibly expensive and difficult to set up. The Hydra EMS is somewhere around $2000.
The EMS in the AVO kit is a Link piggyback system. It is pre-programmed as far as I know.

Incorrect, the SAFC only alters fuel, not timing.

I just don't like the idea of the car running a completely stock tune until above 80% throttle and only until then does it switch to a custom tune that is tuned for all your mods.
