I'm in the process of doing a retro fit but it's had it's haults. My friends doing them for me because he's done a few before. However our projectors aren't fitting right.
We ordered a set of bi-xenons from retrofitsource and they are great projectors however they won't fit in the bd lights. I'm not going with jdm lights so I'm trying to figure out what projector other than a tsx is small compact and omits a decent amount of light. My friend works at a Toyota dealer and can get me free projectors if they have a wrecked one come in.
So any ideas?

let me guess...fx35/45 projectors? The bixenon stuff is usually pretty large, much bigger than what you can fit into a bd's housing.
tsx, s2k are popular small-sized projectors, but they're not bixenon, you can try the bmw ones too...I think its the e46 3 series one that you want. The smallest projector I saw when I was researching HID projectors were nissan 350z, but from what Ive read they don't have the kind of light cutoff/output that hardcore retrofitters like.

well I picked up a set off a landcruiser from a friend cause he had about 4 sets, however they are halagen not HID projectors so again they wont work. It's turning into a head ache.
We bought a spare bd light and cut the crap out of it to get the bi xenon to work, then the harness we got from retrofit needed to have a few wires swapped to even get the highs to work and then finally got them to work but when my switch is on high it's low and when low it was high...however the retrofit source kit we got is being abandoned and my buddy said we're just getting the JDM's and retro fitting them because basically it's not ganna be nice finding projectors. He's got a set of TSX's here that would fit but they are going in a denali he's retrofitting. SO THIS PROJECT IS :smt014
I'll keep you all posted

E55's are basically the smallest bi-xenon projectors you can get, and they are pretty decent projectors as far as color. You can get some awesome cutoff and color with replica clear lenses. Aside from that, the TSX is probably your best option for HID projectors, since they are pretty short and wide.
You probably got FX's from retrofit source, and one thing you can do to make them fit is cut off the top of the projector. Its just a big piece of cast metal, and it has no function. I did this on my retro, and they fit fine height-wise now.
You should check around http://www.HIDplanet.com/forums. There is TONS of information about projector sizes and dimensions and stuff.

We already cut the tops off on one and then even cut the housing up some. it wasn't really helping any. I will look at your build. I know about the forum and stuff, just never got on there. My room mate had kinda given up a tad on the project cause it seemed hopeless. I'll look at your build.
