clicking noise when turning left

i have a clicking noise when i turn left wat could it be? someone told me it was the cv axle or cv shaft something like that so my question is how do i test it to see if thats wats wrong with it? can i fix this or just replace it? and wat exactly does it look like? and also i found a subaru in the junk yard same year but its a wagon and 2.2 not a 2.5 can i take it off that car? and how exaclty do i replace it? ive never done this job before but i do now alot about cars

Buy a reman'd axle or a new one. Very cheap with a core return. Unknown used axles are just bad news.

just got the reman for 60 bucks lifetime warrenty on it too, wat should i do to the oher one to make sure it doesnt happen again

Inspect the boots. Replace the boots if they look dry or cracked, since you won't know really when it will decide to tear, flinging out precious grease and allowing dirt and water in to wreck it. This should help extend the life of an old but undamaged halfshaft.

If any other ones are already torn, they are likely on the way out too so, just get another reman. while the car is in the air.

True, but if you're rebooting and then the axle is bad anyway, all bets are still off.
Time = money, so if you're spending more time wrenching to replace part-of-a-part that you could have just fixed originally...

But, we digress. I'd replace the whole thing and have peace of mind, that's all.

none others are cracked or anyting if fact they all look brand new, do you put greas wih a greas gun? wheres is the little nipple thing to add it and do i add greas anywhere else? ive never owned a suby before its a lot different then a honda or chevy

There is no place to add grease, it's either in there or it isn't. That's why the boot is important, when the boot tears, the grease goes away, water and dirt replace it and eat the balls.
