ok. so i have been debating on whether to turbo my car or not but 2nite i was driving around and talked to this guy that has a sti forester(which is sooo nice!) and he said it would be sweet to see it turboed. i just got a new job and making decent pay.
im looking to see what parts would fit on my car i dont know the sizes for any thing. help would be seriously appreciated. im pretty sure i will get the blouch 16g. thanks guys!

well you can look into what im doing. im getting a ej20tt and converting it to single turbo. i will be using a 1st gen engine harness and ecu with a vf24 turbo. also have to use a 1st gen turbo crossmember. the reason i will be using the 1st gen ecu and harness is because there is a subaru guy here that has done the same thing twice. he knows what he is doing.

looks like about a grand for the engine. alot better that 3k for a wrx engine.

You may want to check out the posts by rougeben83... also look for a guy on NASIOC called JoeT. I believe he was the first to boost his BE.

Well all sorts of stuff will need to be upgraded - injectors, fuel pump, and engine management is important. Exhaust/intake obviously needs to be worked on too but the wrx exhaust and IC routing works - the crossmember either needs to be replaced or notched for the uppipe to clear. You'll need a stronger clutch. Ideally you should swap out the shortblock for something stronger or do some sort of build because the NA high compression block is not all that great for boosting.

i know a guys that gets sti parts pretty cheap im just not sure what all i could use from one

try to find a 91-94 legcy sport sedan(turbod) engine. it is the strongest block subaru put in there cars here in america. i can handle alot of power.

Any EJ block will bolt right up.

im probably going to go with an 05 sti block.
what all can i use from it?

Already been answered - the entire EJ257 will bolt right up to your heads, or you can do a full STi longblock swap if you wanted to.
