Is it possible and if so, has anyone ever installed the front under-frame from a WRX on a BD/BG/BK? There may be other factors but driving my friends (dead-stock, non-turbo)Saabaru, which has the frame, seemed to feel more "unified", even though my car (not stock) has better roll/pitch resistance. The chassis' seem similar enough and there are some unused threaded holes in the same general areas on my car (BK).

Or maybe the Legacy specific H brace would work well enough?

do you mean the big U shaped subframe? or the aftermarket H brace ones that ties the front subframe to the unibody?

if you mean the H brace that will not work with the NA headers.

Yeah your old post, rougeben83, had a pic of the turbo H brace and compared that to the Legacy specific H brace that has the "turbo cars only" disclaimer. This appears to interfere with the N/T header, as you mentioned, hallow.

The conclusion I've arrived at is that the later, N/T underframe likely mates to a crossmember that has tabs similar to the WRX (turbo-style) crossmember. My car doesn't have these tabs.

Thanks guys.

they do make n/a specific H-brace as well, it ties to the front control arm mounting points and to the unibody like the turbo version. It's made for the RS, but I believe just like it is with the turbo one I have, the spacing is the same on the legacy so it can work (with a little modification at most).

All I can find are like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/02-05-IM ... ccessories (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/02-05-IMPREZA-RS-UPPER-STRUT-BARS-LOWER-H-BRACE-BAR_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp4999Q2ec0Q2em14QQhashZitem58832ce937QQitemZ380157880631QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories)

The ones I found that use the control arm bolts would likely work, as you said but it appears that they would interfere with the N/T exhaust. I could modify that. Hmmmmm.

And yes, my original question did concern the big U or C shaped apparatus, which won't work without the crossmember that has the turbo style tabs.

I mean these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/H-BRACE- ... 06.c0.m245 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/H-BRACE-Lower-Arm-Brace-Subaru-Impreza-95-01-Blue_W0QQitemZ120476233051QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item1c0cf16d5b&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245)

they sit higher up, clearing the N/A exhaust piping, which goes under the front subframe, as opposed to the turbo piping which comes out from behind the subframe and drops down.

I just found that one just prior to logging on tonight. It has the "european models only" disclaimer but, since I've got the OBX ELH in this thing, all bets are off on that part of the fitment thing. The control arm bolt locations are likely to be consistent. I am a machinist/fabricator by trade so if tweaking of the lateral tubes is required, it's on.

The reason I don't want to just make one is, I can't even buy the material for the price of this completed piece.
