RS bumper on a lgt, and fender flares

Has anyone ever tried swapping a rs front bumper on a legacy? Also kinda curious if there is a style of fender flare follows the shape of the bd lgt fenders and wheel wells? I am on rs25 now looking at a build with 350z fender flares and it's kinda hot.

OMG I'm SOLD! I want the Rs bumper swap. Should just be beam cover and inner workings. Just have to find someone willing to part with one or go JDM hum...should be interesting. If only I had $$$'s

the beams are shaped differently but both bolt up the same, i know my brother-in-law put my legacy L bumper and beam onto his impreza, is looked funny as hell

I wanna just get a cover and see if it will fit. My friend has one off an Rs he is working on at his place. I may just take it for an afternoon and get a mock up photo and see if just the cover fits. since I just had my cover off last weekend.

If the beam fits in.. chances are the bumper will probably line up easily. I think it looks.. odd? Like some sort of subaru mutt! :lol:

You know it fits - look at the pics! You still have to trim the wheel well to make it match properly with the fender, and it needs some stretching. Plastic weld time anyone?

As for fender flares - wagonofdoom ran 240SX "bubble" flares on his GTB. See his threads, and his FS ones for more info. Last I heard, he had them up for sale.

I'm having issues. I can't really find anything I really like. the rs is cool, but I'm more of the not out of the ordinary cosmetic looking kinda guy. I may just keep the GT bumper and just get a new one that isn't cracked, dented, and showing 173k miles of abuse.

I just have a rust issue over the rear quarters and recently discovered trunk so maybe I just need to strip it all down and put the goods in a clean shell....idk :smt022

If you like the idea of changing bumpers but don't want to spend the money on a 2.5RS bumper cover you could always find a good deal on the older style Version 1-4 WRX/STI front bumper from an importer on eBay.
Like this, similar to 2.5RS but it was never sold in the states:
