Hi,
I whant to upgrade sway bar and install strut bar on my legacy 2.5GT '98.
I read on a topic i can buy a 95-05 impreza front strut bar. Can i fit the rear one too?
What about sway bar? can i fit impreza sway bar? there are easiest to find.
I think the 00+ legacy sway bar is not the same, and it's possible to install the outback rear sway bar to upgrate to 18mm.
Thank you ;-)

whiteline makes a rear swaybar for your gt or you can find a rear from a sus/outback (2nd gen) it's 2mm thicker than what you have on your car

For fr/rr strut bar, i'm going to buy the WRX one.
For the rear sway bar, the outback one is the best.
I think a 22mm front sway bar can do the job...
If anyone have better choice, let me know...

I have reading all post on sway bar during the 10 first page. But there talk about BK/BG for most topic.
But i have a good idea of what i can do.
Do you know if there is a difference between sway bar brand? Is the cusco one is better than the whitline? It is look like a simple bar but in fact it is a complex spring.
Thanks

Doesn't matter - what fits BK/BG will fit BD in terms of sway bars.

Strust bars:
Fronts = 93-01 GC Impreza (bolt-on)
Rears = 02-07 GD Impreza (you need extend the holes on the bar by a few mm's and remove some of the metal above and around your strut tower.)
You can NOT use rear GC strut bars since they are different bolt patterns then the BD. BD rears = GD rears.
Sway bars: (These are the other options besides the proper bars made for the BD/BK)
Front = Tribeca 25mm rated at @ 23mm (everything is bolt-on although you have to mount the bar on the outside of the endlinks instead of the inside. Also you must use aftermarket endlinks.)
Rears = BG Outback 18mm or Bang your spare tire well in a few inches and you can run any impreza RSB.
Cheers

The fronts GD don't fit???
I found a whiteline RR swaybar, 20mm. and ADDCO fr sway bar, 25mm. It is upgrade the rate for 144% at the both end. A friend, who race with a FWD (acura integra) tell me it's better to change the rear sway bar first and change the front one after, depending the car feelling. Durind steady corner, the car tend to understeer, so RSB stiffer than FSB can be help. What do you think about?
Thank you!

GD bolt patterns are different then GC. You CAN put a GD bar on but you must drill out the GD bolt pattern in order to line it up. Not recommend but hey its your choice.
You can NOT run a turbo style FSB. Be careful when searching online for BD/BG bars since most refer to JDM models which come turbocharged. The N/A subframe is much different then the turbo subframes.
You are correct, changing the rear bar first will give you a better feel for corners. Once your comfortable with the handling characteristics you can then change the fronts to something bigger then 19mm.
Jamal has posted a very good writeup about Swaybar FAQs which has already been mentioned. Follow the FAQs and build your car to your liking.

Will the GC front strut tower bars bolt in and still let the hood close fine? I saw another thread where someone may have had a problem closing the hood using a GC. Just want to get another opinion

Then you would have also read that the GC BOLT pattern is fine (front) but that the HEIGHT of the mounts is where the clearance is an issue. In a GC the hood sits higher (or engine lower, whatever).

Yes but not vice versa bd rear sways wont fit BKs because of spare tire issues
