raising a legacy?

i hear alot of talk about lowering legacies etc.

but has anyone raised one? i mean every once in a while you see pics of a justy with 36 inch tires or something, but im not talking about anything that crazy.

is a mild lift possible with bolt ons and maybe adjustable coil-overs??

or maybe swapping stuff from an outback or forester?

if so what is needed?

springs/shocks/struts control arms, knuckles, etc?

its been done plenty of times check out subaruoutback.org there you'll find plenty info on the lift from which cars what to swap but basically all you need is outback struts and springs for just a mild lift.

Forester and Outback parts would be the place to start. There's also a thread on here that points out the exact differences between a "normal" Legacy and an Outback. Not only is the suspension taller, but there are several body lift spacers as well.

Mild lift: Outback struts w/ Legacy springs
Proper lift: Outback struts & springs + body spacers to correct suspension geometry (not totally needed, but helpful if you are struggling with getting the "right" alignment)

here's mine 1995 legacy which i lifted a few months ago
Now rides on 2004 Forester XT suspension, Homemade teflon rear strut spacers, 215/70R15 Dunlop Graspics, 1999 Forrester 15" steelies.
Sits much higher then an Outback of the same gen, ride is smooth and tight.

If GC Impreza suspension fits your 92 Legacy, then the Legacy/Forester stuff will also.
