Hello.Does anyone know if this OBDII scanner will work with my UK 2001 Legacy 2.5l GX

if not any recommendations.I have already got a USB cable that I can hook up to the laptop and use Evoscan and Ecuexplorer and the likes but its getting to be a pain having to take the laptop down into the motor.I need something a little more conveniant.Cheers

Should be OK now.Sorry
I bought that one cause it was only $10 on eBay. It did NOT work on my Subaru. Works on my Chevrolet just fine though.

that isnt a scanner or scantool, that is simply a code reader. ive had them work on my subaru, mercury, dodge and nissan.
but i would spend a bit more and find one that can actually let you view freeze frame data and sensor reading.
much more handy.

Thanks for the help lads.Basically im just after a scanner that can display error codes and reset the ECU nothing fancy. But I dont want to go out and spend a small fortune on something that will not work.Anyone got any ideas.I think my Legacy only does SSM-II

No scanner will reset the ECU (except the Subaru Select Monitor). Some scanners can delete the codes though, like the Scan Gauge II which I have and has been invaluable on all my Subarus, Hondas and the extended families' Chevys, Pontiacs, Fords and Toyotas.

Scan Guage looks if its only OBD-2 compatable awell.Remember my car is a UK version 2001 Legacy.I dont think it is actually OBD2 compliant.I can only seem to use SSMII in EvoScan.Scan Guage looks good aswell? :-(

Your diagnostic plug under the dash - what does it look like?
