I have searched, I'm just double checking here...


1. do I or don't I need wrx/sti tophats to run wrx springs regardless of what model strut its on?

2.what is the widest tire that will fit on a OEM 16x7 snowflake wheel?

and finally...

3. 93-01 Impreza sways are the ones that fit on my 1998 BK Wagon, front AND rear, correct?

i have some half answers for you

1 the fronts no, the rear's maybe

2 the oem snowflake is 6.5 not seven the only Subaru 7" wide wheel is the RS 6 spoke, and comes stock 205 width not much clearance in there to play with

3 there is a thread around here somewhere about it search will find that one :D

You'll start rubbing before you experience the limits of a 16x6.5 wheel.

You will also need the metal perches as well as the top hats from the wrx for the fronts. Rears will be fine, they are the same between both vehicles. Remember, be sure it's all from a wagon.

On my RS 16x7's I run a 225/50/16, which is only nominally smaller than what comes stock on the RS (55 series I think). It makes one hell of a difference, there is no more rubbing of the tire on the bottom portions of the struts.

Not sure if the front will fit, never tried it, but NO REAR SWAYBAR from 93-04 Impreza will fit without flattening your spare wheel well out a bit with a mallet. The Impreza RSB is FLAT across, whereas the Legacy RSB dips lower to clear the spare tire section.

I know 225/35/17's wont fit. As said on the struts too. if you get Rs perches you'll be fine on the fronts too just make sure they are off a impreza. I re-used my front top hats off my car with my 07 struts and used some off a buy eye wagon for the rear.

Of course 225/35/17 won't fit on a 16x6.5 snowflake.
