in order to get to the back side of the door lock does the door covering have to come off?

By the door covering you're just talking about the panel you take off if you want to replace the door speakers?

not trying to replace the speakers but I'm talking about the door lock where the window switches are do I need to remove the whole door panel just to get behind the switch or is it a two part thing where I can take that part out without doing the whole panel?
