Is thhttp://wac.addr.com/auto/obs/clutch/clutch2.htmlere a how-to for a clutch install??

I need to change the clutch on the Legacy GT and never done this before! I've done numerous things though, just never a clutch install!

Is there an DIY for clutch install?

I found this one:

Anybody else have an easy DIY, what is best remove engine? then change clutch, or remove the tranny crossmember then pull the tranny down then change the clutch?

Looking for advise!

Thanks
JP

i beleive the easiest way is to drop the driveshaft than the tranny. i have done it so much that i can do a tranny/clutch swap in 3 hrs. also those are good writeups.

i would rather roll around under the car and only disconnect 2 or 3 connectors, than pull the motor. i can do a clutch job in the time it takes most ppl to pull the engine.

How much clearance do you need while dropping the trans? I heard this was the easiest way as well... move the engine forward.

about 2 1/2ft. i used my skate board to drag my tranny from the rear to the front. that mush room is only needed if you are changing your tranny.
