Moving to the mountains. Whats the best set up i should do

For my N/A to take the turns. Im going mostly for handling, but engine wise what would you suggest? It already does great on the back roads where i live, but i know it could do better.

Back roads as in gravel, tarmac, mud?

I live near the blue ridge parkway. My set up is just the same as everyone elses. Though it's mostly tarmac.

- lower the car and get better struts.
- front and rear sway bars.
- get set of tires.
- skid plate to protect the under belly.

I did take it off road not long after i got the car, and i wish i had a skid plate then hahaha. put a hole in my midpipe of the exhuast.

Just a basic upgrade. Like intake, exhaust, suspension. Do a search around here and you'll find what you need. Most if not all legacy owners have atleast one or two of the same mods :lol:

that should help you decide on what to do.

Basic handling improvements can be done simply by upgrading the sways. The biggest problem is the center of gravity is high on the Outback. Stiffer sways will help keep it flat in the corners.

Thanks very much you guys. I do realise theyre like legos, but say i put impreza suspension will they just fit right in, or do i have to add adapters or anything like that?

Impreza suspension will not bolt onto a 3rd gen legacy/outback. If you read some of the suspension threads you'll find out what works for the bh/be.
