I believe so - just make sure the top spring perch for the 04 WRX springs fits snug.

Assuming Gen2 98 Leggy.
You can on the front but not on the rear
04 rear springs are tapered at the top and require 03+ top-hats

If its going into a wagon, it will bolt directly on. Sedan has a different rear tophat, but BG/BK wagon is the same as GD impreza.
If you run camber Plates, GC up front fit perfect, GD in the rear (on a wagon)

Sorry i was a little unclear about the model of my car.. I have a 98 Legacy GT limited sedan (BD)
04 rear springs are tapered at the top and require 03+ top-hats :
sorry for my ignorance but are you reffering to a WRX 03+ ?

Yes MY03+ WRX and STi use tapered rear springs
as do SG Forester
@brockley:
do the BD Sedans have the same strut-top-bolt spacing as GC or GD WRX?

BD and GD have the same bolt patterns. Whether or not the rear tops fit depends on the springs being used.

When I ran '03 Subaru WRX springs on the rear of my '95 sedan, I used my stock Legacy Top Hats.
When I switched to springs for an '04 WRX (Tien S-Techs), I had to use an 04-05 Top hat (WRX, RS, doesn't matter which).

so 03 use stock hats for front and back?
