is it possible to DIY pressed wheel bearings?

basically like the title says, I was curious to know if there are methods out there on how to press wheel bearings in if a bench press is not readily available. I was thinking about it for a lil while now since i have to replace one of mine, last time i did one I was in cape cod and there was a press right next door to the race team's shop, so i had the guy do it for me, but here at home, there arent any around that i could find (napa, mineke, etc.). Would it be possible to just hold the hub in place and apply weight to the bearing and the rest of the assembly (evenly of course) to press the bearing in?

the service procedure actually doesn't use a press. To pull out the old bearing and hub you use a slide hammer, to put the new one in you use a threaded rod. It's even done with the upright on the car. The only problem is having all the right shaped pieces to do it.

Take a trip to your local Autozone/Advanced and they'll rent you 1 that turns out to be free in the end.

I got all my tools and a press avail. When i do the other rear and fronts on the E36 @ the shop. GL doing yours... i had a blast doing mine.
