anyone with an iphone have this app?

my wife just got an iphone and we just tried our first run with her car(97gt) using dynolicious.

her car got

0-60= 12.37

1/4 mile= 18.81 sec. @ 78.9

HP peak=126

kinda pathetic :smt010 :smt011

if you put it right to the floor from a dead stop it seems like it has to think about it for a second before it takes off...like the car lurches than says "JUST KIDDING" chugs a bit, then takes off.

also, the iphone said we had a "bad run" but were gonna try agian later.

anyone else use this app?

what numbers are you getting?

If that GT is stock, those are gracious numbers. My slightly modded GT put down 117 to the wheels.

yeah car is stock minus silencer and snorkus delete

they might be a little off cause i wasnt sure the weight of the vehicle so i just guessed...

what is the correct number? i looked and found 3150 lbs plus passengers

EDIT: i believe you can see the little bog/hesitation/stupid right at the beginning when you go WOT from a stop.

that HP is way off for a stock GT, if your pushing 126 stock then im pushing 200.....dunno bout that 0-60 either, im slightly modded and run rough 9secs 0-60, pretty sure i only she off about a second, if that, from stock.

peak HP=104

max accel= .37g

sound more accurate? i calibrated the app, reset the thing to measure HP at the wheels, and adjusted the weight of the vehicle to 3150+passengers.

Don't know if it's accurate, but it is neat. I've got to find a just dynod car and compare.

Also iPhone=win.

I voted on this app to come out for the blackberry storm a long time ago on crackberry.com, so I wonder if it came out! :smt016 It seems like a good app. How much did you pay for it?

i think like 15 dollars total.

then a buck each time i want to get on the turnpike cause it the only place i can gat up to speed without risking an insane ticket...

For anyone with a G1 like myself I downloaded "aDyno" free. I tried it out a bit and the numbers are off, but I also didn't do it right and need to figure out the weight of my car.

While these apps aren't what you could call accurate as a mustang dyno, what they are good for is setting yourself a baseline to gauge any mods. As long as once you find your base settings and don't change anything then you can fairly accurately gauge any mods.

Bit like a sound meter.

technically, any real dyno is also supposed to only be a gauge of stuff that you've done to the car as well, not as a comparison with other cars.

As long as this app is accurate within a certain range, I think it's ok, but probably not as sensitive and consistent as an actual dyno.
