So my tranny started to act funny on me, i went to my trusted mechanic who ran a full electrical scan on all the sensors possible and found no problem which makes it mechanical. he also recommended to go to tranny specialist and suggested a few shops in the area. So i get to the tranny place guy gets in i described the problem which he saw himself. and he says that it is mechanical and basically i need to rebuild the tranny. I of course will go somewhere else to get a second opinion just to be sure but from what he described it seems that he is right. i cant really translate what he said yet ill have to look in the manual for all the proper english terms and update this thread. he also told me it would be around 2300 to rebuild it at his place. I told him for that price i can get a 5mt and put it in myself and he was cool about it and actually offered me help and access to his lift.
so my question is what would you guys do. i am probably going to do the work myself in a driveway as it is the only place i have access to, also are there any special tools needed to do the work. any help suggestions would be appreciated. oh and like everyone else money is tight. lol
