I've been searching around for a aluminum radiator for my BD and can't find anything. I found the Koyo radiator, but its not a aluminum radiator.

Do you know if a Impreza GC radiator will work?

Specs from Koyo is that our radiator are:
Width: 26 1/2"
Height: 14 3/16
Inlet: 1 1/2
Outlet: 1 1/2

The radiator i've been looking is the Mishimoto Aluminum Radiator for the Impreza GC chassis

As you can see the hoses will be on the same side and the inlet and outlet are the same size, but look at the specs

Overall Size: 28.2" x 19.3" x 3.74"
Core Size: " 13.35" x 27.08" x 2.05
Inlet: 1.5"
Outlet: 1.5"
Core Thickness: 2.05"
Tank Wall Thickness: .08"
Chassis Code: GC8

What worries me is that its too tall and that the mounts are not the same

Any input from anyone would help

The GC' 93-01 impreza rad should fit as long as your mount points line up at the bottom and the clips that hold the rad from the top fit. Either way this is small obstacle since you can make custom mounts or shift the legacy mounts over.

The rad hose location is identical however you must purchase a rad with a rad cap on it since some impreza's use a coolant reservoir with a rad cap.

The height should not be an issue since both GC and BD are designed with the same engine bay and rad support. Also the thickness is not an issue either since you have a good 3-5" between the rad and the pulley's.

cxracing makes some decent aluminum radiators. Check ebay $150ish

Not KOYO quality but they hold 330 AWHP @ 10 PSi. Oh and they can also hold up to hot lapping at the track without pressure loss.

the cxracing doesn't seem to have a rad cap on the rad

I think ima save alittle more and just get the mishimoto since it has a rad cap and its included in the price
