Well, sometimes things end up not how you thought they would, I ended up with a BMW. It is a long story for another day with lots of photo from an amazing place, but here I am, no longer with my BL but rather an E90. More details soon.

Beautiful! I have been lusting after 335xi for a while now and while it's not Japanese, I don't fault your decision. Excellent car. Tons of aftermarket support. Looking forward to watching this progress

ZF, I believe. Only manual in the area I could find was nearly three hours away and a salvage title (which is a no-go for me). All the Subarus I looked at had too many issues or sold out from under me, unfortunately. I really wanted a Baja.

Took a couple better photos today (finally) while it is mostly clean. Last week I also swapped the halos to LEDs and the fogs over to yellow bulbs.

One of the major annoyances I have with this car is the back seat. It does not fold down and it does not have a pass through. WTF were you thinking, BMW?! That alone is making me think about selling it and hunting for a V70R. There are a couple maintenance items that I will be sorting out soon but otherwise things are going well having just clicked over 160k miles this week.

Mmmm, looks nice. Any plans for the high beams? I love frenched high beams on Bimmers.

Ah, they are actually bi-xenon, the inner pair are the turning lights that come on with the signals, when the wheel is turned significantly, or both light up when you are in reverse. I'm not sure if I'm going to do anything with those...

Interesting, that's actually pretty cool.

Seller flaked out on a set of BMW oem 18"s so I went with Sport Editions from Tire Rack since I didn't want to burn up the winters commuting. Also finally put on the M-style spoiler, looks damn good for $50 shipped on ebay.
