um, the GT sedan was for models A~C, and leather was a factory option for GT and 250T (I'm only talking sedans here).Quote:

No first gen came with 17's. First 17's on a subie AFAIK were the GTB's in 1996.
Don't know where you got that info from, but it was pretty off!!! The reality is the RS and GT were pretty muxh the same, execpt for the RS not getting the leather option, being manual only etc. They still had the auto HVAC controls etc, and stereos, maybe even CD players... it's the RS-R amd RS-RA that stripped all that stuff out!
And i've sat in a GTS2 with a sunroof, so that one is bunk too :P That said, GTS2's are weird, they were an auto GT sedan, but they got the RS suspension, wheel and bucket seats... And engine tune too, and one or two sti badges about the place. They were a limited run of something like 1000 or 2000 cars, right at the end of the gen 1's run.
Um, no, that info was all for second gens!Quote:

I'll go back and check the rest when I have some time.
Oh, hahah! That'd be why it was out. a LOT changed between them!!!
Hmm, some corrections to make still then.
I still think all leather seats were poered, and yes, the RS could also get non leather powered seats.
As for the wheels, RS-B's got 17's, standard RS's would have got 16's, and 17's, depending on year (A's got 16's), and you're right, GT's got lovely little 15's.
You're quite right, the GT was much more of a GT. Quite a change on how the breakdown went for the first gens.
OK I updated it, let me know if it makes sense.
Yeah I think the power/leather seats info means standard = all seats are powered with leather an option, doesn't say powered seats were an option on any of the RS's where I'm looking but... I just had a quick look at the C type RS and it had optional wood trim... so I'm now going to have to go back and correct it for A/B/C models of each! Argh!
Sorry, didn't realise this was your showroom thread, I should probably ask to get this shifted somewhere else, I thought it was a different thread.
Nah nah, that's fine. And also, no, not all seats were powered, only few were. All leather seats were powered. If you got leathers, you also got powered with that. That's what i was saying :P
Found out the "black" door I had in the shed for a while was actually the same color as your car! Sure is a pretty color. Weird because your Ti and my 91 SS both have color code 952, but mine is Mica Black.
I do have a 3 spoke Momo RS wheel, like yours better but mine is a million times improvement over the stock POS we got.
there should be plenty of 4-spokers around on the interwebs!
Well. Temps have finally climbed back into the positives.... And today the outside tap for the first time, was letting a tiny little drip through... So I left it on, dripping away, knowing that the frozen water inside would thaw out if there was a flow of water... 30 mins later it finally just built up and up till it was rushing out like a normal tap should!!! And I also didn't have to worry about turning the drive into an ice rink either...
Time to clean Blighter then!!!

Even took out the centre console, to get at the shit in there....

Eeeeeeeexcelent. Now to wait for this rain to turn into snow....
Put the fogs in today! Huzzah!
One of the backs was missing, so i squeezed on the N/A fog backing, and it actually worked alright....

https://sl-i.net/FORUM/images/import...IMG_4095-1.jpg
So i washed blighter today, and set bout giving him the first cut seal and wax he's likely had in over 5 years...
In this pic, i had done left half of the roof, but sadly the pic doesn't show the difference.
https://sl-i.net/FORUM/images/import...IMG_4324-1.jpg
This is with ultimate compound, mothers step 2 sealer, and step 3 wax, sadly pretty much all the scratches are too deep to take out. I really want to fidn the previous owners of this car and give them a right proper smack in the face for using his roof as a fucking table! IT'S NOT A STORAGE LOCATION, DON'T FUCK UP MY PAINT OR I WILL HURT YOU.

Blighters spoiler I thought needed a repaint... But I thought I'd see what ultimate compound could do... Turns out the pic on the bottle is no lie...

I ended up doing two passes with ultimate, before sealing and waxing. It looks incredile! I just wonder if it was the clear coat i was waxing, or the paint, we'll see in the comming weeks if the shine goes away, or is to stay.
Looks good. I am assuming you used a buffer?
All elbow grease. Let's just say it takes time that way, but you get fantastic results.
It looks really good. My car has lots of oxidation. If I wax it by hand it looks OK for about 3 weeks. One of my friends who is professional detailer told me he would clean it up real nice for $50.
I seem to have lost my car in the reflections.
I fucking called it, told you guys the paint was mint :P

ALL HAIL MOTHERS 3 STEP.
Do you mean jsut wax, or actual, cut, seal and wax. If you just wax, you're simply putting oil on top of the oxidation, it will acheive nothing. You gotta polish the oxidation right off with a cutter, then seal it, and wax it, to protect the clear coat from it happening again.Quote:

There's only one way to go. Mothers 3 step!
http://cache.pakwheels.com/forums/20...--IMG-0010.jpg
But for the cut this weekend, I've been using Ultimate. It's a bit harsher than mothers step 1, it's really more for restoring fucked paint like on blighter, mothers step 1 is less abrasive, perfect for an anual soft polish.

And a teaser of what lays beneath on that bumper. This was after 5 mins of rubbing one spot.

Man, thats a lot of work with out a buffer! I did that once and never will again! Looks really nice! I'm about to do this to 3 f my cars... The Legacy, the Toyota, and Pulsar... Not looking forward to it! However, the shine is worth it!
The thought of polishing a car without a DA or rotary makes my hand cramp up. :lol:Quote:

So... I attacked the front bumper over the last 2 nights. The oxidation was rife... It was so thick and heavy... I had to SAND it off from the clear coat! Yup, I wet sanded with 1200 gritt, to remove the oxidation and restore my clearcoat! Hardcore paint resto...
Here's some before and after pics.

Sure the paint is still fucked, but fuck it looks an aresload better!
I actually painted over the top of the yellow with my paint pen last night, then polished the whole lot again today. Seems to have worked, far less in your face now!
https://sl-i.net/FORUM/images/import...IMG_4412-1.jpg
But sadly fucked paint is fucked paint. Again, least it looks a little more respectable now!

I have 7 cars and also customers cars I work on, so it's a must. Though, there are times you have to do things by hand...Quote:

Great pics of her all cleaned up and shinny!
I almost considered "pulling a Reuben" a week or so back (and that's exactly what I said to myself in my head too!) when my friend sent me a link to this for sale! :P
