    Grimm's 05 LGT- 6/3/17 she's dickered ;-;

Hey guys and gals been awhile since I've been around. Much has been going on in life and going well. recently I bought one of my dream cars.

When I purchased the car back in February it was all fine and dandy until I got home. Error code P011 popped up. with some help and google I managed to remove the banjo bolt filter, but forgot to put everything back together because NA has been most my life and this is my second turbo car lol. I ended up overheating the turbo and RIP turbo seals. so since then ive been saving u my monies to better the car.

So far here is the mods list:

    Engine:
    -VF52 turbo upgrade
    -Invidia catted downpipe
    -everything else stock for now.

    interior:
    -05 original interior

    Exterior:
-again nothing out of the norm other than factory 05

    Suspension:
    -sick from factory LGT wheels

Here are some pics. Feels good to be back and hopefully find time to hop on here more often.

so today was a very productive day, I had a tommy kaira cluster hanging around the house from the 3rd gen and wondered if if was possible to retrofit into the LGT. and with some help of Rob aka Merlin the wire wizard it was all made possible lol

More details about that R/C car? What scale chassis is it and where did you get that BG body from?

I bet that turbo sounded awful!

Hey while you have the turbo out, I'd recommend deleting the uppipe cat by either gutting it or buying a catless one (and also deleting the EGT sensor housed in it) while you have everything apart. It's just added assurance that nothing will fail in the future. I've been told the cat has the potential to break apart with the added boost and kill the turbo.

Yep, the cat takes out the turbo which then takes out the short block. I got the STi Up on mine but there are aftermarket solutions.

So last Sunday I had a buddy drop off an oem turbo inlet. Been eager to put it on and continue with the car but with all the rain we've been getting this entire damn week I've been busy building an ark instead :/

    Haaaaalp meh

So here's an update. I finished putting the car all back together. The car fires right up beautifully. No sounds from the engine at all. But white smoke pours out the exhaust like a steam train. Wtf I'm stumped. I'll post video up shortly

What did the smoke smell like?
98 GT -- Intro to Subaru. Cooked HG, dead suspension, and lots of ricer mods.
02 Outback H6 -- No more HG issues, but ate two 4eats.
09 Subaru Tribeca -- slow and ....um fat, definitely fat.
13 E350 S212 -- No more Subaru!! Why does that make me happy?

Eek!!! I'm with dodik, what did it smell like? Have you noticed a loss in oil or coolant? What color is the smoke, white or blue?

I couldn't tell at start up if there was the sound of lower end noise from the engine, but it definitely didn't sound right... It might be the coatings on the new exhaust pieces you installed burning off, hopefully...

    Sorry for the suspense. Update:

Engine is sound iPhone picks up more noises because I live on main road

Exhaust actually makes a lot less smoke than in this video. Now smoke is bluish. Also checked the dipstick and no oil has been consumed. Coolant is not bubbling and not mixed into oil either.

Latest update; the turbo is at the shop getting the seals rebuilt. They were worn but not horrible. I should get the turbo back soon. Unfortunately not in time for WBM :/
