    ej20t and a 97 2.5GT

my 2.5 blew a head gasket on the way home tonite and was wondering how much work is involved in swaping a WRX motor into it. i looked around the forum and the only thing i found was swaping either the whole drivetrain or gutting the interior to get dashboards to fit. what is needed to swap just the motor? do i need to slice and dice the interior to get everything to work or can i just hook a 2.0t to the existing gauges and such?

You can use your gauges, but you need to convert over to the WRX ecu. It's basically the same as an engine-only swap in a 98 Impreza RS.
