    WOW
That is a total difference. It doesn't even look like the same bumper! Good job.

Also, where did you get that grille? I've never seen anything like it, it's awesome!

Thanks! I took it almost all the way to raw plastic. It was a paint in the butt, however worth it! Funny thing is I have just as much into this as I did my S13 Silvia front end I did a few years ago!

The grill is a 1999 SUS (Sport Utility Sedan) grill. They might have had them in 98 also, but I'm not sure. It's a tall grill and it took me forever to find one, but now cant use it with the GT-B bumper... Gonna keep it though. I might figure out a way to make it look right someday with this bumper...

You would thing so, but not as much as you would think. I got the plates for cheap for a guy in New Zealand. $78 Shipped...

The bumper.... yeah, I'm still feeling that bill...

Next is a motor... Was gonna do a USDM WRX swap, but I'm kinda curious about the H6 now...

Re: Dead's 98 GT BD... USDM/JDM RS Limited

    Forgot these pics...

The GT-B Limited is a "short" grill bumper... but I did kinda get my SUS grill in. I know it wont fit when I get my frame work finished, but I have a junk OB grill I can mod to see what it will take to make it fit!

Not really too bad! Still bugs me so it will need to be fixed..

This is the side with the bent rail that I'm going to fix when I have the motor out.

This took me 15 minutes.... hahahahaa

Yeah, I saw the first set at like $200+ shipped and thought that was dumb! I talked to the guy when it didnt sell on Ebay. He had them listed for $150 shipped with the plastics. They come right off and the plastics are close enough to the same.

I have been thinking about getting the stainless scuff plates. It looks like you mounted them over the plastic ones, right?

Yep! I need to redo the adhesive, but yeah it's simple to install. Just some 3M trim tape should work fine.

Re: Dead's 98 GT BD... USDM/JDM RS Limited

Finally got the pics off my phone...

I only have a couple showing how much work went into the JDM Limited GT-B bumper, but here they are...

What I couldnt get with a DA sander, I did by hand... I think I sanded for a couple days, then gave it about 5 coats of primer and about 2 blocking sessions tpo make sure all, chips and what not were all cleaned up. The bumper had some nasty re-paints before. It had been painted 3 times, so I took most of it down to raw plastic where I needed to.

Yeah when i first saw the pic when you got your bumper, i knew it was gonna take alot of work. Thats time consuming and it came out clean! Howcome you didnt just use a paint remover?

Doesn't have to. As long as he sanded it, it will bond with the primer, sealer etc...

    BTW, I found this locally:

I have seen some bad stuff happen with paint remover and it had mud work done before so I just treated it like any other body panel. I had it sanded in 180 grit so the primer/paint in not going anywhere...

That is a clean 164! I almost had one once, but I'm a 122/140 kinda guy.

As for lowering it, I have a set of H&R's in the shop, just didnt want to do it before I do the HG's or the frame work.

The gap bugged me at first with my JDM grill but now I am used to it. That Zerosports looks great with the GTB Limited bumper.

Nice choice of color! I am looking for this color next time on my rims or possible just stock silver. Those should look great. Get some tires!

Nice! love how that clear flows. What clear did you use? and hopefully they don't scratch it up when they mount the tires
