Its hard to do this stuff when people talk about it but dont buy. Calendars have been on for sale for over a month now and only 10 sold. This makes me hesitant to do SLi merchandise group buys. I would love to offer people this stuff, but there has to be interest.

I think it is price based. A lanyard, plate frame or key chain thingy would probably be in the sub $10 range. Pretty much in the " spare change from under the couch" range. $25 is a decent chunk of change, well for me atleast. Just my thoughts, i would buy one if i wasnt so poor. Haha

    Re: Merchandise Idea thread

I do agree with Reason on this. Most are not willing to get the products when they are offered.

Having said that, if anyone has insight into any of the so said ideas, is anyone willing to do the homework to see what the price point would be?

I myself am not a license plate frame person. The only ones I have are ones from my friends used car lot to promote his business since he is a close friend and also a customer. Now he paid about $1 a frame if that says anything and if anyone is more interested in doing the homework, I can find out where he got them. He got them in bulk and they are nothing more then black plastic you would get from any dealer.

A Key chain is something I would think about since I do have so many damn cars and I dont have any Subaru specific ones. Just one for my Pulsar, Chevy, and Toyota. I have 3 Subaru's in my sig as of now....

So someone do the homework for Reason, and make a proposal for what ever idea it is. Find out what other forums/sites sell them for and then we have something to go off of.

I wouldn't mind an SL-I t-shirt! I thought about it and am trying to make some cool t-shirt ideas just for fun. I personally would love to have a t-shirt version of the original jacket designs, but with a white shirt and black logos. This is what I have so far for something more outside of the box:

I'd shell out... I dunno, $25 for a shirt like that, but bear in mind, I'm thinking including shipping, and I'd be getting a 3XL. not sure if that's unreasonable.

Also, I'd prefer it in black.

I am working on some black hoodie and white hoodie designs now, as well as black t shirt designs. If someone wants to use them to profit for the forum and make shirts I'm totally down for that. I am considering making one for myself either way lol

    Re: Merchandise Idea thread

Okay so NOW I have other ideas for my design... I have designs for white and black hoodies, as well as a black t-shirt. Once again let me know what you think and if anyone would want to go through with using these to sell for SL-I I would be honored. Also, I don't mind producing any other ideas people may have for them in my spare time

Let me know what you think and once again judge harshly please. I'll try not to cry like a woman.

So, my brother has an STI and from Subaru was able to get a nice sun shade with the commonly known STI logo across it. I thought to myself how nice it would be if we could get a good quality sun shade with SLI across it as well. not too sure how to go about it but would be more than willing to pay for it.

@Navy GSE I've been looking at different things to do, that wasn't something I thought of, and I like it. I will see what I can find.

At the same time, if anyone knows of any place that has quality stuff for custom merchandising please send me a PM.

I don't think it would work for mass producing as the quality will not be professional, but I threw together a quick design that can be modified and 3D printed. Blue and yellow for reasons.

    Name: SLI.png
Views: 63
Size: 242.0 KB

I have the file on Tinkercad, but kept it private. I would like to keep it controlled for the admins to be able to decide which way to go. I can't print any practice files out because I haven't purchased another 3D printer yet. That said, feel free to use the file (it is open for use on Tinkercad) or let me know what else I could do to modify it.

I have a laser coming for my laser engraver on Monday, so maybe I will play around with the SLI logo on that, too.

Yays, Nays, or any other input would be great.

Juse a shape right now. I could add a loop on the end to make it a key chain, put some small holes in the back and turn it into grill emblem, sticky tape to the back and make it a badge for whatever/wherever. I can change the shape around it to nearly anything, give more space for forum name or an event name (custom meet up badge, ride of the month with date). Some of those I came up with while writing this, so I am sure other members may have other ideas. Give me some time and I'll prototype a few of those ideas.
